Early Access Review
A spiritual successor to Police Quest: SWAT in all the right ways. Has an extremely tense, and at several times terrifying, atmosphere, with a heavy and rewarding focus on teamwork and co-ordination. Meaty sound effects and robust animation quality lift the game's gameplay to high mark, with reloads that almost rival 2019's Modern Warfare.

AI could use some more fine-tuning, and adjustments to mission design could be a slight better. Would mark Bomb Threat as easier than Active Shooter.

Highly recommend this as an Early Access game, and I look forward to more interesting scenarios and levels to be added. Excellent time.

EDIT: After the game's full release, I cannot recommend this any more than right now. The AI has been so fine-tuned to perfection it's actually crazy. The programmers and designers who made these computers behave like actual humans are unreal and you deserve a kiss on the forehead. This alone raises the bar significantly on a game I already thoroughly enjoyed. You MUST buy this game if you're looking for an immersive and thrilling shooter experience. I wish nothing but success to these developers, and I will happily keep playing this game. Bravo, folks.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is an absolute joy to play.

The story is hard-hitting and well-written, forcing you to make some tough choices early on and be a total badass all the way through. The best way I can describe this game is that it is EXACTLY like a Tarantino movie, which is fantastic. The dialogue and acting sells everything here; not a bad performance in sight. I've completed the story and have enjoyed every last minute of it. The small talk that you hear from both sides (yours and the Nazis) opens up some insight on characters and provides relevant commentary to this day and age.

Gunplay is solid and engaging. The use of duel-wielding while Mick Gordon's awesome soundtrack graces your ears in the middle of combat will want you to find more Nazis to kill shortly thereafter. I would have perhaps liked more weapons in the game; currently have about 6/7 weapons (most of which can be duel-wielded). Some more weapon types I could see working well there. Perhaps I've still got to find them.

On my setup, I have experienced little-to-no bugs and no crashes whatsoever, although the game loves to Alt+Tab out every now and then.

As of right now, don't buy it just yet. Based on what people are saying, they have experienced numerous problems with the game in regards to technical issues, so wait until patches have rolled out. But, once they do, buy this game and have fun killing Nazis.

The game, at current, is horribly optimised for PC. Have played two and a bit games that have been experiencing framerate drops CONSISTENTLY. It is borderline unplayable in its current state.

EDIT: Specs are: Intel i7 6700K CPU, GTX 1050 ti, 16GB RAM, Windows 10

A few things to take into consideration. You will die VERY easily in this game. There is no way to tell where you are taking fire from and therefore you must use the terrain and trenches to your advantage.
It's also a slower paced game than many first person shooters, so it also requires a lot of patience.

Having said that, this is a game worth playing. It's very tense and the weapons feel immersive. If you're looking for a game to fill the gap between now and Battlefield 1, this will work a charm. Again, be patient and VERY careful when in a battle in this game.

Absolutely bonkers. I'm loving it so far.

EDIT: Full thoughts after 1 hour: This game is really solid, allowing you to do stuff so incredible as slicing a bullet through thin air. Lots of strategy involved and requires extreme patience. When you finally succeed, it feels so good. Well worth the money.

Helps to have a map? Helps if the bloody game would start.
