The story is amazing. I bought the collectors edition for the PS3, and finished the campign within a week. There is so much to do and lots of secrets to discover. There are some RPG-like choices in the game that will effect all three characters. So repeated playthroughs or loading previous save files is a must to see all the endings. This is what the online should be, however, the online portion drags this review down.

The game is an endless cycle of grind. There is no easy way to earn money without repeatedly doing the game missions over and over. Heists finales are the only way to earn actual money ($400k+) and that's if you host them. If you are part of the finales, you would only get about $150k. This only happens if the servers are up and your internet connection is up to par. So many disconnections and failed setups due to timeouts from party memebers.

The community is absolute trash. If there wasn't passive mode, there would only be constant death. Everyone in the lobby tried to kill you. There is not friendly community in the game. Seems like the people who try to kill you are the people to dedicated their lives to the game.

Each new update brings even more expensive items, so the cycle of grinding never stops. The only way to keep up with the items if you want them is through the purchasing of shark cards. Which cost real money. There needs to be better ways to earn cash to spend in the game.
