There will never be another roguelike as good as Isaac. The genre peaked here.

Tone deaf company adds EAC to their game and to block out mods that add features to their game that the community has been asking for years. Says they'll work on adding them as official features, heavy doubt

About an hour in so far but the puzzles are already making me think hard. There's some very cool and creative ideas in this game that tickle my brain in ways that other puzzle games haven't. Definitely deserves a lot more attention from those who enjoy puzzle games.

Extremely relaxing and cathartic. Do jobs for people by either cleaning their house or renovating for them. Once you get enough money you can buy new properties and either move in there or furnish and flip the house for profit. Get the DLC's if you buy the game, they are worth it.

This is a very fun little time waster game. The game allows you to play at your own pace (turns aren't timed), so you can easily pop this game on while you're listening to a podcast or watching a movie on your second monitor/TV. Although I will say, depending on what items/build you end up getting, the game can require some planning or thought into the upcoming moves you make, so it may sometimes split your attention a bit. There's not a whole lot of content right now, but I feel like I've been having enough fun with it as a game to waste time between classes or during a study break that the lack of content hasn't really bothered me that much. It is very satisfying to load up the game, pick one of the fun characters (aka every character except bumbo the empty), and go through each dungeon floor, making decisions about which spells to pick up and how to approach each room or boss. With some characters, you can get combos of spells and effects that can make turns last basically forever, or buff your spells/puzzle damage to insane amounts and instant clear some rooms. And with the rate that the game has been getting bug fixes/updates, I wouldn't be surprised if the game got a small content update sometime soon.

If you are a fan of Symphony of the Night or any other of the "metroidvania" Castlevania games, you will most likely enjoy this game. The controls are responsive, there's tons of secrets to find, the bosses are great, the music is amazing... overall it is a very enjoyable experience. Even if you haven't played any metroidvania style games before, I would highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys single player action games in general.

The escalation of this game's story, setting, and tone are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fantastic. It does all this under the guise of a bland, post-Modern-Warfare military shooter, and presents ideas that very harshly contrast with games in that archetype. This game was recommended to me by a friend of mine who told me very little about what the game's true focus was, and I picked it up without looking up anything about it. After the first few levels of the game, chains of events unfold in ways that you'd expect of a military shooter: the mission you are sent to complete goes wrong, and you're sucked into something deeper than your original mission. In an instance, your character points out a building in the distance where the man supposedly behind everything is, and in that moment, I was sure that this was going to be the height of the game's plot. We were going to go there, shoot the guy, stop what was going on, and get out.

Little did I know that, this game isn't about reaching the final destination, it's about what you do to get there. How far will you go? How many people will you kill? And for what? You'll face these questions and more when playing this game.

Oh my god, I have never seen such an amazing mash up of elements from different mecha games combined into one beautiful fetus. It takes things left and right from ZOE, Armored Core, and other Gundam games, and I love it. It's uber fast paced and requires the player to make use of all of his/her assets to win a skirmish, plus MECHA BULLET TIME :O

Dark Souls 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed rhythm game Dark Soul. In my opinion, it's selection of music is a little lackluster compared to it's predecessor, but varied opponent types keep the game entertaining as well as the variability of ways to approach these enemies.

If you're familiar with Dark Saul, it should take you just a little bit to get into the groove of it's sequel. Dark Souls 2 changes up the rhythm mechanics of the game by removing backstab invincibility and good rolls, so returning players may need some time to get used to this change. If you haven't played Dark Suol, the main objective of the game is this: you are presented with sets of enemies that you have to lock in your rhythm by dodging at the right times and rhythmicly attacking so that you get counter-hit bonuses. There are many bosses in Dark Souls 2, many of whom have unique attacks such as autotracking overheads and AOE splashes. But, if you find the rhythm of the boss, you can catch it and eventually outdo their damage output.

9/10, not as good as Dark Sqal, but still a damn good rhythm game
