i have exactly 5 reason for you to play this game:

1: you can parry almost every attack, with exceptions being really noticable
2: your curiosity gets rewarded heavily with points, healing, and sometimes even new gear/weapons
3: in the colossal fight, YOU CAN PARRY THE PUNCH
4: anime s3x
5: the super-secret bossfight(s) is/are some of the best content you can find outside of the main campagin/cyber grind. he/they is/are a true test of your skills, satisfying to beat, usually can explain a big chunk of lore or their own character in the few voicelines that exist, and will leave you more addicted than if you were doing meth (don't actually do meth tho)

forreal tho if you enjoy experimentation in fighting games whilst still having some level of control, i'd say this is your game

God this game is just fun but also lightly frustrating.

The fun bits:
Some form of constant progression and hooking you into it
Not a lot as the first game but still quite the depth of how you want your loadout to be
looks preeetty
Exotics are fun as hell
MEEMS-okay but for real Bungie does tend to the community in some form, adding memes as emotes and balancing the game for its PvP and PvE

Lightly frustrating bits:
PvP still doesn't look great to me what with how much of a cluster♥♥♥♥ it is. Not that I mind cluster♥♥♥♥s, but I'd prefer that kinda action when TTK was higher for it.
Gambit's both a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good PvEvP mode but playing with randoms is frustrating as ♥♥♥♥ and I don't have to explain why I'm not too big of a fan of invaders using a Sniper :/
I just find weekly raid progress resets to be terrible but I can't think of a proper alternative
Wall of text inbound 'cuz I got lost in my thoughts and I suck at making TL;DRs.
I'm still sad we can't have exotics in each slot. I'd really love to have an all-Exotic loadout for PvE, but given how the loadout is shared for PvE and PvP that kinda makes things difficult. It'd be cool if there was a system that looks at what instance you're doing and make adjustments to the loadout ruling, but I won't be surprised if it's not possible either because it'd have to be a client on the consumer's PC which means it can be cracked like an egg, or it'll probably take too many server-resources or the more likely option of it breaking stuff.

Wow this review itself is kinda terrible. Uh maybe when I'm not half awake from a good sleep will I make a proper review.

Ho. Ly. ♥♥♥♥. This game's got my heart.

So...what? This is a reimagination of Classic Shadow Warrior which was made by 3DRealms, who are the same guys who made Duke Nukem...I think.
"But Soul, doesn't that make it a reboot?"
IDFK. I never payed attention to that.

What I DID pay attention to, is the gameplay 'n ♥♥♥♥. Cuz ♥♥♥♥♥♥' hell, this game is awesome!

Let's start simple here, and go with...well, the plot.

You're a merc named Lo Wang (♥♥♥♥♥♥' cuck-jokes) who lives in Japan, I believe. I don't pay attention to locations. Anyway:
You were sent by Orochi Zilla, owner of Zilla Industries, a research facility dedicated to creating the future, to obtain a sword called the Nobitsura Kage from someone called Mizayaki (help if I spell these names wrong). You don't get the sword, a demon steals your info outta your brain, ♥♥♥♥'s happening, and then you wake up in ruins...guess we've gotta save the world in order to get payed.

Gameplay!!

Spoilers: This Shadow Warrior was made by Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog, who made Serious Sam, Hotline Miami and Hard Reset.

The gameplay's REALLY fluid. I mean, what can you expect? It feels like an arcade game.

Said in short, there are many a ways you can kill the demons. You've got guns, area hazards, your sword, explosions, flames, demons who aren't that smart with aiming their attacks, etc..
If you are a REAL torture machine and can kill demons in many a clever ways, then congrats! You gain a lot of Karma!
Karma acts as a sort-of experience system: you gain karma points when you reach a certain amount of karma. Those points can be distributed into things like health, katana abilities, etc..

But wait, there's more! there are also Ki (pronounced Chi) crystals. There's at least 1 crystal in every level (except for the Shadow Realm ones). They can be used to upgrade your demonic powers. You got stuff like healing, a shield, a shockwave and floating beartraps.

And then there's cash. You find this, along with ammo, in certain spots/caches. You spend cash on upgrades for your guns and ammo.

Oh, did I mention you need to stay moving and be quick or you'll be ripped to shreds? ...I didn't, did I? Whoops.

Well, now you know. And as the FINAL note: don't play this if you can't handle the following:

dismemberment;
VERY corny jokes, including dickjokes;
a lot of gore;
a plot that makes you go wat;
disgusting demons;
hard difficulty, even when playing casual;
and the quick motion because you'll be dashing most of the time.

That's all. Go have FUN!! (yes, I got this from Humble Bundle when it was free, for those who are asking)

I honestly don't care if this is an 'Overwatch Clone' or if Overwatch is the opposite. This game is FUN. Period.

....Still here? Alright, alright. More details comin' up.

So it's a Hero-based PvP shooter. So what? TF2's a class-based PvP shooter, and the same argument happened there. Yet TF2 and Overwatch are NOT the exact same. Seriously, go look the both of them up. You'll know what I mean. T_T

Yet this game is...almost the exact same. What's different?

Well, for starters, there's upgrades that you can purchase at the beginning of each match. They retain with you for the entire round/match. I say that because it varies on which gamemode.

The heroes, even though they look a little too much like their Blizzard counterparts, aren't completely copied. In fact, they have their own feels to it, and they play a lot more differently.

For instance, let's talk about Torbjorn and Barik. Both build sentries. Torb's sentry can withstand a lot of bullets, and he has to hit it with a hammer to heal and upgrade it. Barik creates mini-sentries that repair themselves whenever he's close enough, and they don't upgrade (yet they are fragile AF, and two fully charged sniper shots could destroy 'em). Torb throws armor. Barik places a bulet-sponging shield. Etc, etc., I can do this for hours.

Oh, and how's this for 'originality' (I say it like this because I honestly have NO idea if any other game use it. You know what to do if this sounds familiar). There's cards that buff your abilities, and you can make loadouts with 'em. And then there are the Legendary cards that extremely buff one of your 4 stand-points (weapons and armor, and your 3 abilities).

Plus, you can ride on a horse...only when you respawn, though.

Lastly, you don't have all the heroes. BUT you can unlock 'em in two ways (one way might be gone as soon as the game's out of beta, though). One way is to grind a ♥♥♥♥-ton and get a lot of gold (Oh, yeah, currencies. Crystals and Gold are used to unlock Heroes and cosmeticals. Crystals cost RL-moneys, while gold is obtained by playing in matches). The other si that you purchase the Founder's pack: all heroes, a ♥♥♥♥-ton of Esssence (Whoops. Essence is used to craft cards.) and some beta-exclusive items.

...I'm not going to do a TL;DR this time. Mainly because I want you to read the whole thing.

Lastly, be glad this isn't something like the pretty obvious Overwatch rip-off Force Gaming looked at.

I'm not giving a number this time, it's just fun. OK? Go get it if yer broke, or you're interesting.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I love this game!

*ahem* Okay, that was...kinda non-proffesional. Aaanyway...Borderlands 2 is one of my favorite games, since it's challenging, fun and SATISFYINGLY awesome!

The following's pretty much the plot, so don't hover your mouse over the spoiler bar if you're spoiler-sensetive. Kthnx.

You're one of 4 Vault Hunters, who arrived on the planet Pandora, a world-sized apocalypse, to look for an ancient alien...thing...called the Vault. But you're not the only one. The Hyperion Corporation, known for creating weapons and robots, are already there, and their CEO, Handsome Jack, is going to unleash its power! Having the guts, luck and firepower that makes you wonder how it works, YOU are the only one who can truly kill this handsome devil! Think you got what it takes?

Now for the important part: GAMEPLAY! (Oh, and graphics...and any other things that jump into my mind)
Graphics: Pretty much a slight overdose of CellShading, which makes it look pretty damn good and cartoony.
Gameplay: A First-Person-Shooting Massive-Multiplayer-Online Role-Playing-Game. ...Seriously, that's what it is. (Well, it isn't completely MMO: you can have up to 3 buddies/strangers in your game, and there's a plethora of people who are playing.)
87 BAZILION?!?!: Probably just a fake number, but there are SO! MANY! GUNS! In this game. The guns are randomly generated by any enemy that drops it (which is pretty much every enemy, given that each gun has a droprate of sorts), and there are a TON of copies of the same gun that can turn the gun upside-down. Even if it's the LITTLEST change in the name, it still gives the gun a different setting.
Challenge? Bring it!: It's expected from an RPG to bring challenge. You have a leveling system. ...That's kinda obvious, right? If not: It determines your strength and survival. So don't rush through the story, and grab some friends to speed-up the leveling. Otherwise, you're gonna take a long time leveling. Yup. :/
WHO'S THE BOSS NOW?!?!: Good lord, the bosses can be INSANE! ...I mean, OK, in my opinion, some of the bosses are mini-bosses or tutorial bosses. These include pretty much the first three bosses (Knuckle Dragger, Boom and his brother Bewm and Captain Flint). But HOLY ♥♥♥♥, you are wrong when you think you were done with the final boss! There are Raid Bosses, and as per usual with raid bosses, you're going to need some friends. But what if I told you...that when friends join your game, that the game itself gets more difficult too? PLUS, you get an extremely higher chance of finding epic loot from enemies with friends tagging along your adventure!

*panting* Jeezus, I've been talking a lot about the game...alright, better sum it up with the weapons again.

The guns (and items) can get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ INSANE! ESPECIALLY the legendaries (or some other guns)! They have their special stats in a red-flavor-text, which sometimes is a reference! For example, we have (this list is by the names of the guns):
Hellfire: An SMG that burns your target into crisps...in SECONDS!
Florentine (DLC restricted): An SMG that fires Slag (lowers target's armor) and Shock (deals extra damage to shields)!
Conference Call: A shotgun whos shots SPLIT into the right and left directions, basically creating a moving crossfire!
Pitchfork: A sniper rifle that shoots 5 bullets in a vertical line! And the barrel looks like it can shoot only 1!
Butcher (DLC restricted): A shotgun that fires rapidly with an automatic trigger! The fun part? It slightly regens ammo in your magazine as long as you hold the trigger down!
Gunerang (Maybe DLC restricted, Idunno): Before I can tell more about it, I shoud probably tell about Tediore, the company that made the pistol.
Basically, Tediore makes guns that act like grenades when you reload. The more bullets are left in the mag, the more damage the reload does.
OK, now the Gunerang. It returns to you when you reload it...which is gonna hurt, I can promise you that.
Infinity: A pistol with 1 bullet in the chamber....AND IT NEVER RUNS OUT!!!
The Sham: A shield with the highest chance to absord bullets (those types of shields return those bullets to your ammo capacity)!
The Bane: A blue-rated SMG that is OP!-Yet it is annoying since it screams out of its lungs, and it slows you down to a super slow crawl. ..But it's pretty powerfull. x3
And that's all I can remember. But there's SO much more, and no weapon is EVER the same!

TL:DR=I fangasm too much about this game, alright? I'll just give it a PERSONAL 10/10. OK? It's my thought about it. No need to ♥♥♥♥ your pants and scream at me.

AIGHT TIME TO UPDATE THIS ♥♥♥♥ REVIEW 'CUZ THEY'RE IMPLEMENTING COMMUNITY MODDING TOOLS

DuuuuuuUUUUDE this game is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good you have no idea but Imma tell you anyway.

Progression is hella straightforward, you'll constantly be having spikes in power after every boss.
Whilst I suck ass at it, combat's satisfying.
A E S T H E T I C building, if you wanna relax and blow some steam
Soundtrack's good, though not my favorite (thanks for ruining my taste of music, MICK GORDON)
Finally, them bosses and artstyle are fantastical

GET THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥ GAME

One word. One ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ word: Amazing!

Okay, now for the longer version of that: Sven Co-Op is a pretty sweet game. It's got some good controls, it's lookin' pretty good for its time, it's really good. However, teamwork is key, since the difficulty of all the maps is......quite large. And if every player dies, you'll notice that you have a certain set of retries before you'll have to.....do somethin'. I never got that far towards the fail-count. ._.

TL:DR= It's good, but without friends, it might become impossible. 7,5/10

(Edit): Okay, just realized that not ALL maps have map resets. There are actually a lot of them which use the respawn system, which is good. So....yeah. Sorry for misleading you.

A sweet little game about shooting ducks and turtels and whatnot in the face with small-looking but powerful weapons. It can also make certain people rage because of the insane difficulty it gets in the next area (area 2-1).

A long story short: good game, although sometimes stressful, and pretty good gameplay. The soundtrack rocks, by the way. Now lets get to huntin'!
