I honestly don't get the P2W talk.

Can you pay for better guns? Yes...
That being said, in 8 hours of play I got guns good enough to destroy most players, and I've had most of them for 4-6 hours. I fully completed an event, got some decent stuff from chest rolls, did some challenges for free weapons, honestly, a pretty okay shooter that's not nearly as p2w as people say.

Early Access Review
I have never felt soooooo bad about hitting do not recommend.
First let me say this, if you're interested in the game, and you do not care if you lose 16.99, (13.89 at the time of writing) then by all means purchase this game and support this awesome indie dev.

That being said, if you are more cautious with your purchases wishlist this game, but do not buy it YET. Keep it in your wishlist, and every once in a while when it goes on a light sale, you'll get a notification and you can see how the game is doing. Right now it is in content drought. After about 3 hours I've explored the full map, done almost every variation of missions, got 1 trader maxed, and gotten the other two close. This game has great bones, but bad performance, and almost zero content. Looking at the road map, I think if the devs see this you really need to push more content further up the line, I would rather play the game in it's current state with more fleshed out missions and multiple maps.

It also doesn't really feel like an extraction shooter to me. There's no items or things that can happen in the game that make me go "OOOOH I GOTTA GET OUT!" I go in, I do mission, I leave.

So for the devs I have a few suggestions.
1.) New map, asap

2.) Better ai, asap

3.) After ai improvements, add more complicated spawning logic, have certain AI spawn with rare expensive pre-built weapons, and maybe give them a small squad with weaker gear to help them.

4.) Expand upon the previous element by adding AI that will actively hunt for you in an area if you make yourself known

5.) Add SOMETHING with the items that make them feel valuable. I don't think I've ever picked up any item over disassembling guns, or grabbing as many sets of guns and chest rigs as I can. That has by far given me the most money. I suggest something other than challenges that assign value and persistent need to certain items. Perhaps you need radios and gasoline to keep communication online w/ the traders, so if you're running low or starting out, there's a tangible fear that continuing your mission will risk that item that has value. Bartering instead of money would be great. I would actually really respect the game if there was an option, mode, or even more so if it was default to go full barter mode for higher end weapons and attatchments. Money could get you basic things, but you'd need to barter for high end rifles and such.

6.) More missions, more cohesive quest line before going into endless mode. Right now this is what hurts the most. After the 5th raid, or second hour, I really felt like there was no point. The gear I was finding was the same, I already built a top tier m4 from parts and upgraded traders, and nothing felt new or fresh. I'd really love to see this game lean heavily into a rags to riches experience. Have the player start off with really weak pistols like makarovs. Have them face enemies with barebones rifles. They'll have to fight hard, and while winning will get them an upgrade, it's far from glamorous. Even still, every rifle is increasing your capability to complete missions, and as you do so you fight tougher and more geared opponents, while increasing the gear you have access to. Make this develop over a series of linear, well thought out quests that have unique game play elements, requirements, and that make sense contextually in the world, even if there is no story.

I know this is a lot to ask, but I genuinely belie in these devs to pull something like this off. Especially points 5 and 6 need to be addressed as soon as possible though. Without it nothing else matters. The game feels dry.

Initially I had a more negative review of this game, but after coming back to it, I think it deserves a change in the review.

The game actually plays pretty well now, most weapons you can get early are good enough to set yourself up for a decent progression. Most of the early game weapons are actually pretty decent for PVP, I've consistently wiped blue geared players with the free load-outs. They finally changed the way questing works to be more clear and give more clues to the player, before every single quest needed me to google it, this time around it's pretty clear about what I need to do, and where I need to find stuff.

PVP also just feels more fair now, I think every gun had a bunch of recoil before, but now a lot of the weaker weapons have less, so if you're a good shot you can still beam people with higher gear levels and take them out, but if they're better than you their guns still will out DPS you, which I think is completely fair.

I've also noticed less cheaters, and the new movement while slower overall feels more fun for the way this game structures it's maps. The PvE remains fun and mildly intense in the early game, and I like the passive lock you get put on by being able to go to the big boy map, but not having weapons good enough to handle it, meaning that you can attempt to stealth and run to get access to better guns and gear, but it'd be easier to just quest on the beginner map
where you can actually fight the enemy A.I. properly.

TL:DR: Game went from a confusing unintuitive, unbalanced, cheater filled mess of a dookie ass tarkov clone, to an actually more casual and low hour friendly version of tarkov.

As far as copycat games go, its pretty obvious. The factory map is almost identical to tarkov's factory map in layout, but removes all of the good bits. The original maps are buggy. Also 3rd person is a cheesy mechanic that I hate when there's not compensation to keep you from just seeing people while being completely hidden. Very obvious mobile port. Is it fun? Not really. Is it hard? Not at all. Is it worth it? Maybe if you're just super bored.

Honestly, I've seen the complaints, and I don't get it. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the people who think they're great fps players because they cheese dead silence and op weapons were never good. People who have skill and are aggressive can and still will succeed in this game. All things considered the biggest difference in this cod from what I've felt so far is this cod is VERY kit heavy, all of your kit should be getting used, secondary primary frags equipment, and the game is designed around that, it feels really fluid to play.

This game is great, I love it to death, the Tarkov Like gameplay loop, the wild wild west gunfights, the time to kill, the skill required, the builds. Good game
