an impressive gambling simulator combined with probably the most greedily priced cash shop i've ever seen in a game outside of the chinese mobile market. its like diablo 2 but better, but also worse. something something fix crafting fix loot remove AN etc etc. leagues actually pretty fine after the changes if you adapt your playstyle to the nerfs. you can still make plenty of currency per hour easily as an average/casual player if your build is decent and enjoy the game, it's just a bit more grindy/less hand-out now.

pvp is a perpetual mess but the story and pve is pretty good. miss forsaken/seasons 1-7

feels like the worst parts of a chinese mobile game, diablo clone and a low tier asian mmo all combined together.

I spent my 2 hours playing fetch quest simulator trying to follow an uninteresting story in uninspiring areas with generic characters, who have even worse voice overs than a 1980 garage film college freshman project, while being plagued with random things popping up all over my screen any time I accepted a quest, finished a quest or killed an elite and a massive pile of useless items would appear and ear blast me with jingling noises.

audio is really poor here, too. music is generic and bland, the voice acting is genuinely worse than if they hired people off of fiverr to read the scripts.

combat was okay, perhaps the only saving grace of this mess, probably get better in the late game but I don't think I'll trudge for however many hours it takes to get there to experience it given how god awful the first few areas were.

all in all probably the worst game I've played in a long time. gave it a try due to the hype but it wasn't able to grip me in the slightest in the first 2 hours which is fairly damning to me, comparing it to basically any other decent game I've played which has SOME level of pull within the first 30-60 minutes of gameplay.

I'm an avid arpg and mmo fan, sinking tens of thousands of hours in to games like diablo 2 and 3, world of warcraft, path of exile, grim dawn and many others in these genres for the past 18 years but this one just ain't it boss. I give it a firm 2/10 for cute fanservice girls and okay combat for an arpg. just go play elden ring, path of exile or final fantasy 14 instead.
