It takes some getting used to (this was my first Nurgle campaign), but Tamurkhan's campaign is great fun, and in my opinion sets a high bar for future and past horde factions, since through his chieftains there's a lot of one-army domination possible here as well as themed army potential. The new units also are a very welcome addition, and this was well-worth the buy, especially as I'm not really one to play 'evil' factions in WH3.

An extremely entertaining and engaging dwarf campaign where you are beset by enemies and different fronts to open up. The additional units, lords, and heroes also gives a much-needed burst of vitality to the best defenders in the game. Lots of stuff here, and lots of different themed army comps to try for sure.

A new high in party-based rpg's, exceedingly impressive for its writing, reactivity, trademark Larian chaotic combat, and overall quality (though a bit buggy still and needing a decent machine to run). Lives up to the hype, and I'm very excited to see what this title inspires in the coming years.

Early Access Review
Perhaps my favorite survivors-like I've played. The addition of diablo 2 DNA into the formula serves it well, along with the emphasis on movement to get your character to the various skills and power-ups to keep pace with the time progression. The unlock system also works wonders to drive forward further attempts. I'm excited to see what comes next.

Early Access Review
Though at present somewhat scant for content (being early access), especially maps, this survivor bullet-hell oozes with personality and production value that clearly draws much inspiration from Hades, which gives the experience something of a crossover feel. Far from being a point against it, Death Must Die is a great time. I am excited for more, and aside from more maps and characters/blessings (always a plus), the only thing the game seems to be missing is a way to upgrade your character beyond equipment upgrades.

A pretty unique narrative game, very scary if you're not a fan of rats. A bit short but grimly beautiful.

A beautiful and difficult to describe detective experience that gives a fantastic impression of life in the Renaissance. It might lack vocal performances (in the traditional sense) and backing music, but the way dialogue is conveyed as well as when the soundtrack is employed is inspired and distinctive. The narrative is haunting and thought-provoking, and it's an immediate favorite of mine even though it raised more questions for myself than it could hope to answer. Strongest possible recommendation.

I'll put this as a lightly not recommended title, as it's an inferior sequel to the original title that was clearly rushed out of the gate. While most new additions additions, such as a new character and fist-fighting weapons, are welcome and show improvement on the first outing, others, such as the boat segments only used for the first act, just didn't work and wound up being tedious. The story is a direct continuation of the first game which is nice, and it does give player characters more direct involvement, but it suffers from being a bit one-note, without much in the way of surprises or even new characters (I suppose it's a bit like a stage play to be honest). When the plot never moves beyond looking for ways to improve the home base, moving camp, or pursuing possible ways to escape the island, it's hard to remain invested. On the plus side, most side quests are either related to this goal or incidental good deeds you can do along the way, so they feel much more immediate and relevant (probably the most side quests I've done in one of games). On the plus side, it's playable in its entirety in co-op along with the first game, so that might be fun. Outside of that, compared to the first entry and especially Dying Light, you're completely fine skipping this one, there's really nothing you'll see that isn't done in DL in either a superior or more engaging/smooth way. Still nice to see the way the gameplay has progressed, a good reminder that home-runs often need a few iterations before the sweet spot.

A worthy conclusion to the saga, unique in that no knowledge of the other games is required. Coming from the previous entries, it took some getting used to the new system, but nothing a few levels didn't fix. The soundtrack goes incredibly hard, the plot and pacing is a constant rush forward from disaster after disaster, and the challenges only pile up as the game goes on without it feeling unearned. The situation is dicey, but in the tradition of noir cinema, that's just what the game needs

Noticeably shorter than the first entry, but it's even more challenging and tells a tight story. The graphical and engine additions, particularly the physics, makes it a worthy sequel. Definitely worth playing. I highly recommend playing the first entry before this, as every character present in the narrative is introduced there.
