Truly and utterly incredible. A masterclass in game design. The way Outer Wilds tells its story is unique, refreshing, and naturally engrosses you every step of the way. Highly recommend going in blind or with a friend.

While the gritty and unsettling tone to this game is done decently well (the "music" between each level sets the tone well) the gameplay is repetitive and boring. The AI is dumb as rocks and will just stand there or run around a little while you shoot them. There is a decent selection of weapons, but you end up using only a few, one being the first gun you get as it has unlimited ammo and the longest range. Every level ends up feeling the same, regardless of the location. Kill 80-90% of all enemies and that's it.

There are way better classic games that came out around the time this did that are more worth your time, in my opinion.

Fantastic methodical game with a rich story that makes you feel like you're watching a movie at times. I was a bit skeptical at first using real-life actors' voice and looks as the characters, but it works very well due to how detailed they are. Graphics are phenomenal and it runs very consistently to boot. The driving isn't the best due to the landscape, but it serves its purpose.

The online portion is excellent, with psuedo-cooperative elements where other players can add ladders, roads, bunkers, and bridges (to name a few) that can help you along the way. This never felt tacky or intrusive to the gameplay, and if you disagree, you can always turn off this if you like.

The gameplay loop is pretty addicting, where you go around delivering packages and leveling up your gear, weapons, and armor as you complete deliveries. The difficulty here is traversing the broad and dangerous landscapes without damaging your equipment and cargo. Having to prepare for the journey ahead of you is very satisfying.

My biggest gripe about this game, is the combat mainly. It's fine, but not standout. I found it more fun to avoid enemies as it made the game feel more like a survival game which is more up my alley.

Overall, this game is NOT just a walking sim, its a full fledged experience that I wish more people could play.

(also ♥♥♥♥ dunkey for getting his fanbase full of children to blindly hate this game without playing it just because he thought it was garbage)

This game is fantastic. As someone who hasnt really been into JRPGs all that much (the closest thing to a JRPG i've played is Pokemon lmao) I was very surprised in how great this game was. The story and character development is superb. Like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I was almost avoiding going into dungeons just so I could advance my social links with the other characters. Not to say the gameplay is bad or anything, far from it. It is a pretty simple combat system all things considered, you have weaknesses and strengths with elements and every character also has physical attacks. It isn't too far off from Pokemon, but more in depth. The only thing I wish could be a bit different about this game is the dungeons are kinda bland, but thats literally the only issue I have with the game. It's absolutely worth your time

Without a doubt, the best VR game I have ever played. This game absolutely nails VR melee combat. No other VR game has come close to what GORN has done. Every weapon feels heavy and meaty and all of them are fun to use (maybe except the throwing sheild thing, I cannot for the life of me use it effectively) and it feels amazing to mow down enemies. All in all, if you own a VR headset, you are doing your self a disservice if you don't pick this game up

This is what other VR shooter games should try to emulate. The physics are wonderful and the dev constantly updates the game to add new guns or new game modes. You know your game is great if just shooting the different guns in the gun range is a blast. I also love how every update, Anton makes a video explaining what he changed! Not enough devs do that now-a-days and it really shows how active the dev is listening to the community. Totally worth $19.99 if you love shooters!

If you want a real challenge to your racing games, look no further than Dirt Rally.

I would reccomend a steering wheel controller if you have one though for an added challenge but it still works absolutely fine with a keyboard or controller.
