It's a pretty short and sweet platforming adventure with cute and cuddly characters, and a charming, minimalist visual style.
It might not be groundbreaking in terms of gameplay, but what matters is that it delivers a solid experience.
Woodle Tree 2 Deluxe+ has a completely open-ended game world, meaning you can freely choose what levels you want to tackle next, so, there is certainly a Mega Man-like level of replay value to be had here!

The only low point I can think of is searching for all 930 Blue Berries, which can often feel like finding a hay in a needlestack, fortunately, players are given a radar to track down the Blue Berries once half of them are collected (which is a godsend), and the parts where players need to defeat enemies to advance can be somewhat of a pace-breaker.

However, the one amazing thing this game has (unintentional or otherwise) is this game's version of the tried and true wall-jump! Woodle sports a Mega Man X-like wall-jump, so, that means that players can climb up any and all walls they want, which can be quite thrilling (and opens up many speedrun opportunities!), this is one thing platformers should make good use of, giving players ultimate freedom.

Collecting all the Blue Berries isn't required, so, players don't have to search every nook and cranny, they can be ignored, which can definitely help with pacing, if players want to blast through every level. Overall, you can't go wrong with a wholesome platforming experience, and Woodle Tree 2 Deluxe+ offers that in spades!

One Final Note: In regards to the game's short length (estimated 4-5 hours just to finish the game, potentially 10 or more if going for full completion), the $12.99 price may be a bitter pill to swallow for some, but should it go on sale, go for it!

The Mega Man X series has always been my favorite series in the Mega Man franchise, and having all the Mega Man X games, from X1-X8 in a convenient, modern package is perfect. (Because oh my goodness, good luck buying physical copies of the original games, especially X2 and X3)

The visual filters are hit and miss (under NO circumstance should you choose the "smooth" filter, it just looks wrong, I recommend the CRT filter), and the choice of wallpapers are a bit inconsistent (I suggest using the X Challenge for a wallpaper/border that can work across all games), but of course, the real star of the show are, the games.

Legacy Collection 1 offers Mega Man X1-X4, and they are all fantastic games (with X4 being my favorite, and X3 being, well, X3), and it is worth mentioning that the version of Mega Man X3 in this collection is based off the original SNES release, and not the enhanced PS1 release with an arranged soundtrack and FMVs (the PS1 version of X3 can be found in the 2005 Mega Man X Collection). The addition of the Rookie Hunter mode does help new players ease into the game, but in several instances, Rookie Hunter mode makes the game a little TOO easy, but since it can be turned off on a whim, it's great for those who want to switch the game to the intended challenge, which offers the best of both worlds.
Oh, and for all you achievement hunters out there, this game offers some pretty challenging achievements, it even taught me elements of some of the games that I never knew about!

And then we have X Challenge, where you square off with two Mavericks at once, and some of the combinations you fight are just the stuff of nightmares...This mode is just a novelty (and achievement fodder), and nothing more.
The icing on the cake with this collection is the extensive art gallery and music player for each game, as well as a detailed catalog of any and all Mega Man X related merchandise, which is a very interesting look for those who are curious.

If you're a Mega Man X fan, or a Mega Man fan in general and have wanted to get into the X series, this collection has definitely the best way to jump in!
Now go take down those Mavericks, hunter!

A time capsule when Flash games were king.
And with Flash being retired, preservation of these relics is paramount.

If I ever find the people responsible behind the IGN and GameSpot reviews, I'd have a few choice words for them.
Like...You. And. Are. And...A JERK!

But in all seriousness, this remake is well worth your time, and money, I mean, it's not every day you see a game based off a cartoon gain a big cult following that's enough to remake that game for modern platforms.

Crash is back folks.
There has never been a better time, to be alive on this sweet, sweet green planet of ours Earth.
Though in serious talk, this is THE way to play the N. Sane Trilogy, at a buttery smooth 60 FPS, complimentary of some jank hit boxes, fur-reals.

No matter what genre I dabble into, Platformers (especially 3D Platformers) will forever be my bread and butter.
And A Hat In Time is the most excellent addition to my experiences with the genre.

If the wonderfully crafted environments and silky smooth gameplay don't win you over, then the overwhelming and thoughtful charm of the characters will, featuring a diverse cast of characters from the mafia, to peck necks to even the little hat child you play as, each bringing life to the colorful worlds you explore.

What makes this journey all the more enjoyable is the musical score, it's upbeat and fills you with a child-like wonder and is overall pure pleasure to the ears.

And let's not forget about the hats! Each one provides very practical abilities in your adventure (because situational abilities are a sign of wasted potential) and the badges further supplement your platforming capabilities.

With Steam Workshop compatibility, the adventure will not end, ranging from custom badges, custom hats, dyes and outfits, to full-on level mods to experience!
And with the DLC that is Seal The Deal, you can now experience A Hat In Time with a friend with Co-Op!

Bottom line is, this game is the platformer we've been waiting for, so do yourself a favor, and pick up this hecking cutie of a game.

--POST SEAL THE DEAL AND NYAKUZA METRO UPDATE--
Ever wanted to go on an arctic cruise with tons of incompetent, but still adorable seals? Then the Arctic Cruise is for you! Shame the chapter ends too soon, but the real meat of this DLC is the Death Wish mode, only true completionists will enjoy this mode, as the challenges can be very intense.

What's this? Now there's a yakuza of cats? Must be Nyakuza Metro! With a brand new, free roaming chapter, and 10 new time pieces, it's much better than The Arctic Cruise. Collect stickers, play with other people with the new online party mode, and beat people up with the new baseball bat weapon, since, as Nyakuza member, you're always breakin' the law!

Nostalgia pandering done right. Games made by fans can be a force to be reckoned with, and this is a prime example.
Take some notes SEGA, because you nostalgia pander too much, mostly in the bad way.
The new zones are cool too, I guess.

Bubble Bobble, but in claymation style!
One or Two-Player modes for classic, fast paced, retro-arcade action!
Score points by eating ridiculously oversized pieces of food!
Tons of interesting power-ups that can help or hinder player!
Catchy soundtrack! (Albeit VERY limited themes)
Challenging variety of enemies the player(s) is(are) pitted against!
And lots of more cool stuff!

If you like what I said and more then, what are you waiting for?

I'll have two number 9s.
A number 9 large.
A number 6 with extra dip.
A number 7.
Two number 45s, one with cheese.
And a large soda.

Jokes aside, it's a great game, while it doesn't do anything groundbreaking for where puzzle games are concerned, it still does it exceptionally well.
Plus it's addicting and guaranteed to make you pause the game to go and get something to eat!

PRE-UPDATE: A classic 2D side-scroller with 3D graphics (2.5D?) with some unique twists thrown into the mix creating a fresh and fun platforming experience.
And although it does use elements seen in most platformers what's wrong with keeping the tradition if it's not broken?

Now I have played the original On A Roll on XBLA and so far On A Roll 3D isn't as difficult as its predecessor, but don't let the game's bright, colorful art-style fool you as it may provide challenge in the later levels.

Which is another thing, this game, despite its simplistic graphics is bright and colorful and makes the game pop (which is always a plus in my book as most games these days have a dull color palette), the controls are very tight and responsive (although controller support isn't the best but still works great) and probably one of the best aspects of the game is its soundtrack, my goodness...this game's soundtrack is super catchy and upbeat, drawing you closer to the game.

POST-UPDATE: The new update for the game basically improves EVERYTHING from a more refined interface, to adjustable resolutions (the pre-update version of the game was locked at 1280x720) to a major overhaul to the game's visuals (pre-update looked fine but post-update made a lot of changes such as better water, shadows and other stuff) and the best part: DEFINIABLE CONTROLS, that means players who use their Xbox One/PlayStation 4 (or other PC gamepad) can finally set up their controller to function properly with the game. (pre-update controls still made you pause the game with the escape key and a few other keyboard inputs and pre-update controls made every button on the game controller perform the same action, BIG thanks to Battenberg Software for answering my question on controller mapping!)

If you like what I say about the game AND is a fan of classic 2D (2.5D?) platformers, then I strongly recommend this game!
P.S. DLC for this game is on its way, so if you're the kind of gamer who likes to get the most gametime out of a single game, then this'll be right up your alley!
