Great game, lots of content. Definitely a Last Stand game. Unfortunately, there's some significant bugs and the gameplay mechanics are a bit rough. Melee is stiff and the aiming system makes it hard to tell where shots go. Bad map generation with unreachable areas/missing landmarks and invisible zombies.

Sucks that there won't be any updates for this (and I'm dreaming of a Dead Zone revival)

a great 1v4 style pvp game that got ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over by stupid corporate decisions around microtransactions. Funny though how these kinds of microtransactions are now standard for the industry.

I only wish there was a way to download this game for new players.

I really wanna like this game because the graphics and atmosphere are great and the first 5 hours really immerse you in the world but the game is just way too under cooked.

The game focuses too much on too many game mechanics that are just too barebones to justify their existence. The maps are small and lifeless with most of the smaller buildings unexplorable. The story is decent but it's not strong enough to carry the game. The crafting is soooo basic; I never found my self planning out how to build up my base and instead just reacted to what was needed (like crafting 100 lights for comfort instead of a tv or couch). I could build anything after the 3rd mission because materials are abundant and easy to acquire (the scanner is a terrible mechanic). Npcs are static and don't move or interact with your base or the world around them. There is no variety in weapons, enemies or mission types and after the first 5 hours of the game it just feels like a chore to play because it has nothing left to offer besides the story. Also the quicksave mechanic is just pointless like why even have it if I can't use it 90% of the time.
