This is a brutal, uncompromising, outrageously difficult boss rush game with a few platforming levels mixed in. The cartoon visuals and music are amazing, but don't be fooled- their cheerful look is hiding the teeth grinding difficulty of these bosses.

I haven't finished it yet, but I can already recommend wholeheartedly to anyone who is a fan of bullet hell shooters or old school Contra types. The bosses initially seem impossible, but their patterns slowly reveal themselves after multiple attempts and are reliable, which to me is the mark of good game design. There's no randomness or luck to your wins and losses, it's all about learning their windup animations and the patterns of each of their phases.

I came for the visuals and music, ended up very impressed with the gameplay and design.

Another enjoyable game from Supergiant. Highlights are the style and music, and while the combat system seems to have a lot of depth, it's not explained well and I ended up falling back on the same basic strategy for most fights.

Overall not as excellent as Bastion or Pyre, but a solid game that's definitely worth a playthrough.

Great game. Hard to say anything that hasn't already been said by professional reviewers. It's God of War meets Uncharted meets Tomb Raider meets Dark Souls, but with a lightsaber. If you're okay with that, go ahead and hop on in for a cool ride.

This is by far my favorite of Amanita's games. Chuchel is a hilarious voyage through an acid trip world of monsters, mischief and insanity. I laughed out loud a dozen times, and whenever I'm feeling down I revisit this game and immediately start smiling.

Unless you dislike joy, smiles, happiness or laughter, you should buy this immediately.

An amazing narrative experience wrapped in a decent 3rd person shooter mechanic. Graphics are looking a bit dated in 2019, but that's not why you're playing this.

It's not a lake- it's an ocean. 9/10

Highly recommended for fans of artistic games like Journey, ABZU, etc. The first 30 minutes or so are a bit slow, and I almost decided to not play any further, but I'm glad I did. Once you get past the introductory area, there is some decent platforming and puzzling, but nothing outrageously hard.

The music and art style are the real draw here, simply fantastic. It's a very nice 4 to 5 hour experience.

It’s beautiful and seems really cool, but I just can’t get into it. Every mission, no matter how carefully I plan, devolves into me surrounded by 850 Orcs that seem to keep spawning as I thrash them with 50 and 60 hit combos and counters. Then 3 more named Bosses show up during the same fight (complete with annoying intro cutscene) who overwhelm and kill me, I sit through a 30 second cutscene of them being promoted, fighting each other or getting stronger, then respawn and do it all again.

Even the “git gud” threads from people who like this game seem to recommend dropping in, killing a few guys, then running away or kiting the boss to the edge of a zone and cheesing him there. Why can’t you play this as a proper stealth game? Why do they insist on spawning in 3 other generals if your fight with one lasts more than 30 seconds? Why is it borderline impossible to clear out an area, so you have to end each cool fight by basically running away? Really frustrating game design.

I can see the bones of a cool game here, but it’s not fun at all, even after spending 20 hours to grind out all the combat and ability upgrades.

Awesome racing game, like Mario Kart on steroids. Punishingly hard once you get to the higher levels though, so be prepared to break a few controllers.

Runs silky smooth on a GTX1070/4690k.

Very well told, emotional story. Yes, it’s a walking simulator with minimal interaction, but the gameplay segments that make up each story are creative and interesting to play (unlike most of these games). I’d recommend this to anyone who likes an emotional story, like the movie “Big Fish”.

Even if you’ve disliked other games in this genre like Everyone’s Gone to Rapture (like me), still give this a play if you’re in the mood for a good, sad, two hour tale.

Runs amazing on a GTX1070, even at 4K max settings. Top notch PC conversion of a terrific game.
