fun game.

Fun game, though story maps in 1 and 2 were better.

I played the original destroy all humans! games on PS2 many years ago during the initial release.I enjoyed playing them very much so when I saw the announcement trailer for the remake, I was quite excited and looked forward to getting this. I preordered it and have since completed it 100%. If you liked the first game then you will like this remake. There are some small caveats/changes from the original though. The holobob mechanic has been changed a bit. You no longer simply look at a person and press circle to copy their appearance but instead you almost absorb them to gain the appearance, a little more similiar to how it worked in 2 but without the jump in. You also unfortunately cannot do PK while holobobbed like in the original which is a shame. PK is also a little different too, with such commands like hypnotize and holobob using the directional buttons instead. The iconic Sh-boom song is no longer in the ending which does take some of the nostalgia away. Some other sound stuff is gone too, like the sound of collision from pking cars and the raised alert level messages, some other stuff as well. The human designs are a bit too cartoony at times as well, particularity not-Rod Serling. The gameplay itself is solid though. Overall the game is well worth it and hopefully it leads to the following 3 games getting a remake as well, though a little more true to form.
