Enjoy the freedom of being an insane drunk inspector.

The freedom is quite satisfying. You're not free to do whatever you want, but you're free to react how you want, and the game will smash your face in in different ways accordingly.

Best played with enemies.
Playing with randoms isn't very fun because there is nothing at stake.
Playing with friends makes you feel guilty as you experience the palpable sensation of vertebrae being crushed between your fingers.

CS:GO Review
The shooting game that Valve hasn't abandoned yet. It's still good.

Pretty standard TD game. The back and forth dynamic where you're sending bots at the same time as defending your castle is pretty good.
It's a nice way to kill time.

You take the seat of a data investigator of sorts, scavenging info on suspects of a terrorist attack. But the deeper you go into these people's life, the deeper a hold they have on you.

I was surprised by how well they managed to tell this story of corruption and politics. I was hooked all through the story, and look forward to the next season.

Despite what is usually said about SRIV, I'd say it's my favourite Saints Row from the series. Completely META and crazy. The only shame is that there is very little replay value once all the missions and points are taken.

As Washington, I amassed an army of such great magnitude that I decimated every other inferior countries except Germany. I left Bismarck with a tiny isolated island. Then I nuked them later.

Best 10 hours ever.

Edit:
After getting the expansions, I can definitely say that it is much better. Vanilla is basically "who can build the fastest", but the expansions really add new variables to compete by. It's just so much deeper.

Even though VI is already out, V is definitely worth experiencing first if you don't want to fork out the initially high price.

Despite what's often said of this game, it's a great one. Interestingly, in the absence of Ken Levine, it really points out his abilities and flaws.

Expect a fairly simple, but quite effective story. There really aren't any plot twists, and evevrything pans out fairly nicely. But that doesn't matter, because the artists here masterfully constructs is so that you'd feel the full emotional impact all the same.

What not to expect? Do not be awed. It is not an "exceptional" game in the conventional sense. Ken has a way with pivotal "moments" which this game lacks. There's nothing amazing in here at all, which is a shame.

But Bioshock 2 is more than sum of all its part. Even the very predictable ending pays dividends, due to how well the whole thing has been setup. This isn't a game to make you awed and appalled like the original Bioshock, or pondering and thoughtful like Bioshock Infinite. I feel it's more of a sci-fi melodrama, and you'll find your sympathy swinging along with the main characters. Unlike the other Bioshock's the ending really feels rewarding.

Gameplay itself is not special. At least you can use both Plasmids and guns at the same time, and you also get a melee attack as well. Apart from a few new Plasmids to play around with, you'll be here for the same sort of thing as you had with the other games.

I can't comment much on the multiplayer. There are no servers, and you'll be playing on listen servers, i.e. other people's PC, so expect lag. I live too far away from the continents to play this very well, so I can't give a good review of that.

Anyway, it's a good buy, and I wholly recommend this to anyone who has 10 hours to spare.

In a Tower Defense game, you would expect that you would be defending with towers.

Do not be fooled. You would not be doing that.

There are many arbitrary limitations that would stop you from building an effective maze, let alone a defense of towers. Instead, you'll be using your gun quite a lot. More than I like in most cases.

But because this review can only have a "Yes" or a "No" rating, I'll give it a "Yes".

I did not like this game as a TD game. I came in expecting a TD like Sanctum, and I was very very shocked. But I still love it, even more than Sanctum. It's a more streamlined and smooth experience, and generally more fun.

Just don't expect too many towers.

After completing this game, I can say a few things.
Firstly, to those who praised this game to oblivion. Chill out. It's not that amazing.
To those who shunned it for being "simplistic". Hah. Hah.
This game is actually very good. It's Half-Life 2 good. In other words, I never found myself bored, which doesn't happen with very many games. It's quick to cut to the chase, but not so fast that you can't follow.
The shooting is admirable, and is quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, there was too much of it. Most of the enemies are so plain that you could probably go with Crows and Shotgun through the whole game. Although the game doesn't encourage creativity, I do, because that's where the combat gets really fun.
However, what I did find was its redeeming feature was the exploration of environments. Wandering through Columbia is the most exhillarating thing you could do. I assume this is what happens when Dear Esther gets a tangible and riveting story and engaging characters.
Quite a shame that Ken Levine seems stuck in his old shooter ways, but this is the sort of thing interactive first-person narrative should be. I eagerly await for what the future may hold.
