It's incredible how a game can take the tried and true "4-Person Team doing cool ♥♥♥♥", make it fun and enjoyable to a polished mirror shine, and then do the world's most impressive gymnastics routine right into the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage due to anti-consumer practices

It's more than likely Sony themselves pushing for the need to have a PSN Account connected to your Steam account, but regardless, it's incredibly invasive and anti-consumer to force it upon hundreds of thousands of people after months of not requiring it. Tie into the fact that Sony has had NOTORIOUS amounts of data leaks and security leaks, it's only going to lead to even more trouble.

Limbus Company is the third game created by Project Moon that features the unique setting known as 'The City'. Unlike Lobotomy Corporation, which was an 'ant farm' management game, and Library of Ruina, a deck building game, Limbus Company is a coin-based 'non-gacha' gacha game.

The fact that it's a Gacha game might seem daunting, but Project Moon seems to have as much of a disdain for Gacha as the players, since the actual Gacha elements are very light and easily circumvent-able for the most part. You 'Extract' IDs, level them up, and use them in fights.

The gameplay itself is rather light, but the story-telling and world building is still up to PM standard, and for that I recommend it

Early Access Review
Ate a fish head and accidentally blew myself up because it was actually a bomb, while trying to throw it at a flower pot that was trying to kill me.
Friend told me to turn around after I mentioned I had low health, and as soon as I looked at him he shot me in the face.
Turned out his bullets were made of medicine.
We then watched a flaming pile of books run down a hallway adjacent to us.

Fantastic game, 10/10

Beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of someone with a Lute, then got killed by a man holding a frying pan. 11/10, realistic Medieval Combat.

Even though it's already early access, Risk of Rain 2 improves on everything that made the original game fun while removing the stuff that bogged it down; an impressive feat, especially with how well the game got translated into 3D

You remember all those D.A.R.E lessons in Middle School about drugs and peer pressure?

This game is essentially that, except with more tea and violence.

Darkest Dungeon is a game about facing adversity when basically everything is stacked against you, be it from overwhelming enemy numbers, to plague and traps, to plain lack of preparation.

The game will not hold your hand through anything, and is more than willing to make you suffer before it teaches you.

This is where the charm of the game comes in, the feeling of success as your party vanquishes a boss while each and every one of them is on the very brink of death. A character pushed to their limits, only to have them gather their inner courage and press on, smiting foe with devastating strikes. A hopeless fight turned around in a single, lucky critical strike.

Of course, this goes the other way as well.

A single unlucky strike can send your dear Hero to death's door, turning the pressure onto you. A character's mind can break, causing them to see the task as a hopeless endevor, pulling those assisting them even further into madness. An unseen trap can easily maim your party moments before you face off against a devastating boss. Characters can forcibly interact with curios and items found throught the dungeon, bringing harm to themselves and the party.

The Darkest Dungeon does not forgive.

Aside from the gameplay, the actual aesthetics of the game are beautiful and absolutely fitting for the dark narrative that the game is aiming for.

The narrator's voice is superb and is a massive boon in helping the game's story come to life.

The music for each area drives home the twisted corruption that has taken over the land, and emphasises the dangers that your characters face in combat.

Over all, the game is wonderfully challenging, if not a bit hard at times. I recommend this game to those that enjoy being challenged.

Don't Starve is a game in which you will die. Repeatedly.

Does that mean it's hard? Obviously. Does that mean it's not fun? Hell ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ no.

Don't Starve is a wonderfully challenging survival game that punishes you for being unprepared and a lot of mistakes that you WILL make. From ravenous blood-thirsty hounds to living trees, Don't Starve is a game that will test your survival skills. Its Tim Burton-esque art style is astetically pleasing to look at while you attempt to survive your ordeal in the Don't Starve World and the ambience of the world is able to have you immersed for hours on end.

Don't Starve is an incredible game that I highly recommend.
