Don't get me wrong, the fun is sometimes lost with the AI mag dumping you through a wall with no windows / doors, but the intensity all the while is brilliant. I have managed to get through commander mode with mostly "s" ranks, bar two or three missions and have enjoyed it massively. Multiplayer with friends is great fun too. Would highly recommend.

Hopefully we see some fresh gear appear soon too to keep it fresh.

Worked perfectly 4 days before release, but now, for some completely unknown reason, the game slows down to around 2 or 3fps as soon as the "Track Time / Track Surface" menu goes and the car comes into view.

I can not play this game, hardware is fine, all other games work perfectly. There's a bug somewhere, so for me, this is just going to sit on my list and never get played, which is a shame because I absolutely loved it at first.

Aaaaaah this game is so good!

Turns out when I first started the game and fiddled with the settings, I didn't see the "Full Screen Borderless" option and just had it on full screen, this absolutely destroyed my fps. Now that it's changed, it's an entire new game!

This reminds me of playing the old TT game with my dad around 10 or so years ago, it feels absolutely fantastic with all the help off, full on simulation settings are the only way to go. Every time you nail a gear change or get bit of back end out approaching an apex, you get a real rush of blood. I've done a few Time-Trials and am now ready to kick some Isle Of Man butt going forwards. Officially my favourite bike game (Apart from GP Bikes obviously).

I reccommend this to anyone who was umming and arring because of previous bike releases. Plus the addition of side cars coming up soon? Yeah baby.

Lets just hope I see some private bikes appear in the future like Guy Martin!

Early Access Review
Would not work on HDD, but runs like a dream on SSD.

Love the audio and the people online are more for helping you out than having being toxic like most other communities out there.

First impressions were great. A few issues with me firing on enemies and then them spawning a few metres down the road through lag. But all in all, impressed.

Arma meets Battlefield kinda vibe.

I'm not exactly a review writer and i'm fairly certain this is my first written review on Steam... I think?

Either way, I as I play alot of co-op games with my partner, I figured why not give this fella a go. I've been umming and arring over this poduct for longer than I dare admit as the majority of the reviews are rather negative. I finally took the plunge during the recent £14.99 Steam Sale and gave it a thorough testing last night.

I'm into pretty much all genres of games so decided to test everything on max to see what I could get out of it (I admit now that after testing, I noticed my Steam Link settings were on a graphics heavy mode and not the Fast setting which I later realised makes everything so much darn better.)

The video tests I did were as follows:

Kodi (Kodi)
Fifa 17 (Through cruddy UPlay)
Project Cars
Dirt Rally
Final Fantasy X
Mafia III
Tomb Raider 20th anniversary
Human Fall Flat

Everything was maxed out on my computer upstairs and my Steam Link was connected via ethernet cable as my router is behind my tv anyway. My PC is connected via an ethernet plug that routes my lines together. The Steam Link was telling me I was to receive a 7ms input lag. TV settings on Game and Link settings between beautiful streaming and fast streaming.

Kodi - Worked flawlessly, Audio was tight and finally visuals were spot on, alot better than streaming through the Google fella.

Fifa 17 - On medium streaming settings, I won my matches and the game was fluid. Every 20 seconds or so, if you really, really took notice, there was a 1 or 2 mili second lag which saw the ball ghost about a foot on the pitch. I could happily sit and play like that with no worries. On the Fast streaming setting, this problem was gone and the visuals barely changed so I now use the Steam Link in fast streaming mode.

Project Cars - Ok so I immediately noticed a difference here. Strangely, the visuals looked none HD, the Link just couldn't keep up. Some may not be fussed by this but for me, it took me right out of it. I'd never planned on playing my race sims through the link anyway so that's no biggy what so ever. Getting your entry points spot on was slightly iffy, I didn't miss an APEX but I certainly noticed that 7ms of lag when applying the brakes into corners at 180mph.

Dirt Rally - Performed much better than Project Cars but again, input lag was definitely noticable. It's pretty obvious when you think about it. You can travel a fair distance at 100mph odd after applying the brakes to no effect for a good 10ms. But, I finished my rally in the snow with no damage to my car. Yes I was 7 seconds off pole but hey, good job Steam Link! Again, I have no intentions of playing racing games through the Link so my expectations of the Links were still WAY UP.

Final Fantasy X HD - Ok so this was basically perfect, sitting back on the couch, controller in hand and back to my Final Fantasy ways, this is definitely more like it. Input lag was none existant, audio lag slightly noticable at 7ms behind movement but then again, this was on the medium setting so no doubt this will dissapear on the fast setting like it did with Kodi. I'm so stoked on this and I shall be completing FFX over the next few months for sure.

Mafia III - Ok so the visuals were pretty bad ass here, I don't know why I was expecting it to run terribly, I mean my PC upstairs is running a 980ti and last years i7. But... Yeah, it looks amazing on the tv downstairs, better than the PS4 version that's for sure, smooth as butter. Again, this left me smiling as my hopes were tarnished by previous reviews. So stoked! Basically no input lag what so ever, even when driving. Gun motions were smooth and I was able to get those headshots just fine.

Tomb Raider 20th Ann - Ok so this was the icing on the cake for me. Perfect, 60fps, 1080p, smooth as butter. Look at that lass's hair, just look at it! Far superior than the PS4 version from the comfort of the sofa. Visuals were stunning, motion was perfect, audio is noticable off on the medium stream settings. Either way, I have barely touched this game until last night, 3 hours solid, this was the game that made me decide the Link was a great purchase.

Human Fall Flat - Pretty obvious here, everything was bang on, Physics based games made no effect to streaming effort. Audio was spot on, motion was spot on and visuals were sharp, sharp, sharp.

I was using a mouse and XBOX One controller for these tests. I believe the ps4 controller works wirelessly but the Xbox One controller needs to be wired. If you have a Wii U Pro controller lying around, that also works wirelessly.

I reccomend having a mouse plugged in as the curser can not be moved and sits ontop of some games, it's rather annoying. But simply move it out the way with a mouse. It also makes life easier when you minimise big picture mode and want to browse the internet or input text etc.

I also read there was a lot of crashing going on with the Link, during my 7 odd hour test, it didn't crash once. It wasn't happy with me when I tried to exit KODI via the centre controller button, which is the Link command button. But exiting via the KODI exit button in the corner was fine.

Errrm what else? It wakes up pretty quick, mashing the keys of whatever is connected to the Link wakes it up in around 3 or 4 seconds. It's really pretty too, very sleak design with a nice steam debossing in the corner.

All in all, I rate the Steam Link an 8/10.

And I'm more than happy with my £14.99 purchase, I would probably not pay the £34.99 asking price though. I look forward to lots of couch co-op games in the future!

Worst PES of them all XD

Game runs like utter ♥♥♥♥, practically slow motion. Staggery, laggy crap. Coming from a brand new pc that can run ARMA 3 on Ultra with crazy draw distances.

Shame on you PES, terrible, terrible game.

Brilliant on the PS4 however... Plays like ♥♥♥♥ on PC with no fixes.

I'm fairly new to PC Simulation gaming, the main reason I bought my rig was for Race Sims and so far my time has been spent mostly on RaceRoom Racing Experience. I can't quite put my finger on why.

the game feels much, much smoother than the other two i've played (Assetto Corsa and Automobilista), i'm yet to give others a go. Along with having a superior sense of speed, I believe the cars handle much closer to their real life counterparts, mainly because i've been behind the wheel of an open wheeler and it bought back a few key memories and feelings.

Annoyingly, the game is a money pit, but hey, the base game is free and i'd be more than happy to invest on just the GT series and WTCC series, but... That's not me, I need them all!!! I've had a blast in the masters and WTCC series so far. I'm really, really hoping they can pick up a WEC license at some point, then this game will literally be my go to.

The tracks seem pretty solid, Brands Hatch feels really solid, incredibly close to the real version, this is the only track I know from person so the only one I can really push. Other tracks also feel solid, Force Feedback seems to be creditable with a nice road feel and tyre lean coming through the wheel nicely.

RaceRoom seems to be the only game to give me a close race all the way through the race, others seem to have the ai drop off a little at stages. My one annoyance with RaceRoom is that I seem to blast the Qualifying 1 or 2 seconds faster than second place but then the ai stick with me through the race, even though my lap times barely drop off from qualifying. Not that i'm complaining, I love bumper to bumper action that the WTCC delivers.

But from my amature opinion, I'd chose RaceRoom over Assetto Corsa and Automobilista, but only for now, Assetto Corsa seems to be going places fast, especially now there's a console version to push the developers a bit. Automobilista is a fantastic sim too, so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun, i've never even heard of the developers but they've done a banging job! As soon as they get their hands on a new graphics engine, things are going to go pretty sweetly for them. I believe they got there's engine from the first version of a very popular racing sim with an insane tyre model. They're sticking with it because they know the engine so well which is fair enough, it does need updating though XD

But yeah... Add WEC with multi category racing and i'll fall in love with RaceRoom.
