The Champion of Light uses a 12-SHOT-COMBAT-SHOTGUN to annihilate the darkness and negative reviews. What more could you possibly need?

The game is so poorly optimized, it is literally unplayable in some aspects.
So, what's the matter?

- Nvidia PhysX cannot be turned off. However, Devs messed up PhysX so that it causes massive performance issues (Microfreezes & huge FPS drops in dense areas) at all times.
- Animations in cutscenes are broken, especially if you use the Mafia Trilogy Clothing (Lincoln & Tommy)
- Aforementionned microfreezes/lags make steering a car at higher speeds insanely inaccurate
- Missions in the Jimmy DLCs are somewhat "glitched"? I don't know how to describe it but during missions, the police is still enabled and they don't care about your enemies, but they care about you, so you will not only have to fight against your enemies, but also against 50 thousand 4-Star-Cops in almost every mission... In the Mafia 2 classic game, police was reduced around the mission hotspots.
- Extra Music from DLCs was cut again
- Iffy physics at more than 60fps

Overall, the story and the gunplay are still a lot of fun, and the improved gun sounds and slightly improved (almost unnoticeable lol) graphics are a nice bonus, but as a hardcore fan of the original Mafia II, seeing this just broke my heart.

If you can, get your hands on the Mafia II Classic. Avoid this poor performance at all costs!!

PRO:
+ Nice Graphics
+ Runs smoothly on my system (For specs see below)
+ Good atmospheric soundtrack
+ Plenty clothes for customization
+ Many details. Hogwarts does not feel empty. Instead, it feels very lively. (I do not know how that is for the environments outside of Hogwarts)
+ Supports 8 (!!) languages when it comes to voice actors
+ Intuitive Combat System
+ Plenty to do, collect and find

CON:
- Rather limited character editor (especially compared to other open world games like Fallout, Skyrim etc.)
- Facial expressions and character animations during conversations are from 2014
- No manual aiming, only target-picking
- Seems to run poorly for some people/systems (Just something I've read. For me it runs just fine)

Conclusion: Despite the controversy and some voices that say that it's porly optimized for PC, I have no problems running the game. The World feels lively and not empty at all. For your money, you'll get a Fantasy Story-Adventure which plays in the Universe of the Wizarding World. For now, it seems like it's going to be a fun experience and a good and solid game with a lot of potential! I'll keep this updated if I encounter anything noteworhty.

Der Klassiker kehrt zurück. Jetzt auch mit deutscher Sprachausgabe, die wirklich gelungen ist.

Dieses Spiel macht unglaublich viel Spaß und ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestartet WENN....

...da nicht das Problem mit den anderen Spielern wäre. Das PvP ist mehr oder weniger aufgezwungen und wird durch die Fraktion der "Reaper", die man bekleiden kann, gefördert. Wenn man einfach nur seine Ruhe haben will und entdecken will, kommt irgendwann einer an und geht dir sprichwörtlich auf die Nüsse. Natürlich kann man dann den ganzen Tag mit flüchten verbringen, macht ja sicher viel Spaß und ist super toll. De-eskalation funktioniert nicht und man wird einfach verprügelt und bekommt am laufenden Band aufs Fressbrett. Eine Anti-PvP-Funktion wie man sie z.b. aus GTA V Online kennt, wo man anderen Spielern dann keinen Schaden mehr zufügen kann und selbst keinen mehr von anderen Spielern bekommt, gibt es nicht und würde diesem Spiel gut tun.

Mafia: Definitive Edition

Vorab: Als ein passionierter Spieler und Liebhaber des Originals bin ich zunächst kritisch an das Remake herangegangen.

Positiv:
+ Große, zusammenhängende Map, die keine Ladebildschirme zwischen Land und Stadt und Interiors benötigt
+ Gute Grafik, keine verschwommene Rotze wie bei Mafia 3
+ Die Fahrzeuge steuern sich alle anders, es macht Spaß, verschiedene Fahrzeuge auszuprobieren
+ Die Story wurde größtenteils original übernommen. Es wurden nur wenige Dialoge und Abläufe verändert

Negativ:
- Die Synchronstimmen sind nicht so "gut" wie im Original. Dennoch verkraftbar.
- Weniger Nebenmissionen
- Lukas Bertone besteht nur aus Postkarten an der Werkstattwand
- Das Finale ist leider durch eine andere Dialogwahl nicht so episch wie im Original

Neutral:
+/- Man muss nach dem Missionsabschluss nicht zurück zu Salieri's Bar fahren. Das spart Zeit, aber beschleunigt das Gameplay. Ich persönlich fand es damals nicht störend, nach jeder Mission noch zurückfahren zu müssen.

Insgesamt: Für 30€ (Herbst-Sale-Preis) ist das durchaus ein Spiel, an dem sowohl Enthusiasten des Originals als auch Neueinsteiger in die Mafia-Trilogie auf ihre Kosten kommen.

Dachte erst, dass das hier so ein "Dataminer" Rotz ist, aber das sind tatsächlich ganz annehmbare Puzzles für den Preis.
Würde so 6.5 / 10 Punkten geben. Im Sale für 40 Cent machste nix verkehrt.

Dieses Spiel ist ein vorzüglicher Genuss aller imaginären sowie existenten Sinne. Es kombiniert simple Shooter-Technik mit simpler Taktik, ein wenig Horror in Form von jumpscares ist ebenfalls dabei!
Seit 60 Spielstunden knapp versuche ich mich mit Freunden an den wirklich zum Zähne ausbeißen aber kompetent gestalteten Leveln der Mission, der Tango Jagd sowie der Bombenentwaffnung.

Aber vergessen sie eines niemals: "Verlassen sie die Killhouse, wenn sie fertig!"
