Linux isn't allowed and I'm not interested in the game anymore after they keep deleting the content in the game everytime they add new DLC. On the topic of DLC, why am I expected to pay for the entire game again each time a DLC comes out.

This is a nice reminder of when I'd watch the fish in a fish tank as a kid.

I bought the collector's edition of Overwatch on pre-order and played from day 1 with over 1100 hours in competitive alone.

The game is fun but I don't recommend this game to new players because:
  • The community in this game is extremely toxic and if you're not carrying them then you're the issue.
  • The developers claim to want feed back but look at the forums, the last post by Blizzard (excluding the generically named account for the community manager to use) is by the last game director Jeff Kaplan saying his goodbyes and wishing someone a good time. They don't want to listen and would prefer that the MAIN AVENUE OF FEEDBACK AND COMMUNICATION for the game be a containment zone for everything they don't want to listen to.
  • Putting in balance changes that we've already had before and was bad for the game.
  • Cheaters in every mode of the game, including quickplay/casual (go look at Flats' or Jay3's videos on youtube).
  • The report system no longer seems to function or they no longer review reports because of the low player count because taking action against players would encourage those bad players to stop playing meaning that the game would die.
  • The players in the community will literally stalk you and use multiple accounts to do so, which they will grief your games or trigger themselves into playing badly, which makes the games harder for you to have to pick up the slack from them on top of them being toxic at the same time.
  • The MMR/rank in competitive is a joke due to the low player counts, to the point where you will get players who should be gold(2000mmr-2500mmr) in games with people who are diamond(3000mmr-3500mmr) or masters(3500mmr-4000mmr) but they've been brought up to higher ranks because the game uses a bell curve distribution for placing you into into a rank.
  • Private profiles in the game make it harder to help people out for when they pick characters and for you to make your character picks to combo with them.
  • Forcing update cycles is painful for the player base and bad for a "live" service game because it means that mistakes in changes or new bugs are going to be in the game for a set time with players knowing that Blizzard will do nothing about it until the next 2 weeks are up or as the system is now, the next 3 months.
  • Blizzard panders with their characters super hard for each region, if you don't want to believe it then did you know that Russia and China banned games that have characters with homosexual relationships?
  • The rules in the game for getting banned or muted are changed at a whim and what the current flavour of the month is for Blizzard to pick for you (we don't want to hear anything about what you have to say, remember?)
  • The people who defend Blizzard like they're some personal best friend for life, they have millions of dollars and don't need you to white knight for them

All of these are before you get into any of the controversies or Blizzard's internal workplace politics or workplace itself (stealing breast milk)

I've had fun for most of my time in the game but it doesn't feel like its going to get any better any time soon and will only decline from here. I really don't understand how Blizzard seems to make the worst decisions this consistently, if I could make a company called SandStorm I might be onto something...

I've gotta say, adding in an anti-cheat like this is insane.
Your multiplayer was dying so you put in an anti-cheat that is similar to the Sony RAT (Remote Access Tool) that was in the early 2000s.

Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane?
Did you not ever once think that this could impact your sales and reputation, oh wait now I have to pay Todd $5 for Skyrim again. Nah, get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with this ♥♥♥♥.

Game launched once then will not open again due to an unreal engine packaging issue.
