The campaign map gameplay has been too much cut. No agents, army stance option, trades are not in diplomacy(you auto trade veryone). City/village building is simplified.
Main problems:
-Battle AI is dull/bugged and doing insane things. I am winning even 10-20% chance fights. How hard is it to program AI to keep his forces in trees if he has ranged unit disadvatage, CA? 5 years since ROME II and still this battle AI problems.
-Vassals are moving campaign map like zombies with 1 general unit/ capturing from my enemy small villages while i have to battle walled city. Same for enemy, sometimes he goes full r**rd mode and I have to chase him.
-Idea for army cap size is nice and global recruitment system, but if I am allowed to have 2-3 armys. But army turn moving range is so small even with maxed general stats it's mission impossible to fight viking raids or crazy rebels.
-Cavalry is simply broken. Ranged units do small impact in game.
-with Wessex and Northumbria goes steamrolling campaign pretty fast.
-Dimplomacy is simply useless. It's in game for vassals who can offer a marriage of your daughters for 300gold.

There is also some good stuff:
+First time in long game run smooth at launch. Decent FPS.
+Family tree is nice. Maybe need some improvement, but it's thing what Rome II missed.
+Graphics are ok.

I have only myself to blame for pre-ordering, but I am a big TW fan and I hoped CA have learned from previous mistakes. But no. The games so called "new mechnaics" are simply gutted attila game.
This should be max 20euros DLC. Avoid at all cost and wait till it's on sale -75%.
Let's wait Three Kingdoms, maybe this title can live up to Shogun II, but I have doubts CA can pull this off.

P.S.
CA/SEGA allow people to mod campaign map. Maybe community can make Game of Thrones mod then this gutted game can sell like cupcakes.

I see less cheaters, but chinese are still in Europe servers.
Lag, lag, lag and weird network lost (fix your f... servers).

Yet again GTA masterpiece. Worth every cent.
I bet companies like EA, Activision, 2K or Sega would chop this game in 10 dlcs... Good work Rockstar, next time cut the 1.3 year waiting.

it has been 10 months and 5 days. So far they have realesed 12 patches.


-siege AI on walled cities 5/10
-no game action videos (like shogun 2), instead they keep making stupid advertisement clips;
-in-game encyclopedia is terrible, how could you screw up if you had nice one in shogun 2....
-naval battles are hard, however i love their assitance mechanic in siege (except few bugs -1 man isn't able to leave ship=whole unit unfunctional);
-family system not there.


I like they throwed some free dlc stuff for pre-orders for beta testing their game. I like new city managment system - makes you to think what/when build, not simply max out everything. Battle view from above is cool, so is the map (tab) in campaign map. Barbarian factions are not balanced vs greek/rome factions in multiplayer, maybe they should done seperate client of multiplayer with diffrernet unit balance than campaign.

Wait for -50% or -75% discount. Be carefull with DLC, not all is worth full price.

Best indie game on steam!!!!

If you love samurai stuff than this is the game you are looking for. Great strategy.
