Its the best of RoR1 with some of the best of RoR2 gently put in, and a great remastered soundtrack to boot!

I wanted this game to do well, I wanted it to succeed, I wanted it to cement itself as a new hero shooter that sticks around. Unfortunately that is not the case. Painful Monetization, Poor matchmaking, poor server connections are some of the most rampant problems. The lag issues are insane, getting killed inside my own spawn but the guy was behind 2 walls. I love the Gundam Franchise and wanted it to actually be a solid game. and while it has people playing, its a significantly smaller playerbase than it once had. Unless BanDai does something to revive the game and not just add more horribly priced cosmetics, this game has a few fair months left. If it even makes it to be a year old game that would be lucky.

Edit: I am sad to say I was right. I had hoped this game could last longer and if they had put more into it it would have but they just hoped it could ride on the Gundam Franchise laurels and coast that way. I am very sad to see this game go, but at the same time, it is entirely understandable.

This game is genuinely good. I believe honestly that it came out well before its time. If it had released everywhere like in 2018 when it released for steam it would have been a massive hit and we might have actually gotten a sequel. A little more time and slightly better writing and this game would have been a 10/10, its still an 8.5/10 though.

Soundtrack is baller tho.

Early Access Review
As much promise as this game had, with how much fun it looked like, and even though I don't have much time in it I really enjoyed my time, it seems to have all but been abandoned. They put it on a deep sale and then took what they could and left. I would have gladly kept playing more if I could find a match. I genuinely hope they come back for this but almost a year down the road it seems as though that's not the case.

This game is haunting. With almost entirely environmental storytelling, its a very pretty game that grasps you from start to finish.

This game Is fantastic, its honestly its own separate thing from the original and yet it still stays true to the gameplay of the original. 10/10

Honestly, I love the Borderlands series. I was entirely ready for this one to be one of my most played games. But it let me down hard.

First thing is it sells it self as an amazing new Borderlands experience, it wasn't. It just felt like a low-grav BL2. The few mechanics they did add really only were a nusance. Having to make sure you kept up your o2 wasn't hard, but just another micro managing thing that got old real quick. The vaccum "sound" of the non-atmosphere places was deafening; I don't mean by sound i mean bo the muffling. It was entirely unneeded and honestly if you were playing with friends you ended up missing on some sound cues because of other noises.

Second thing is the voice acting. It was horrible. I do understand it had a few classic voice actors returning and that is great, but for every other new character it was just awful. The scavs were just horrible and the first major scav boss' voice was the worst. This game had a few memorible lines, but not nearly as much as the first 2.

Thirdly was the plot, It was interesting. It could have easly been done better with a few more quality checks. I will not say I know where to improve it in every little aspect, but especailly near the end things just kinda happenned quick and without warning. Unlike its predicesor you had to have played BL2 to understand half of whats happenning in this game, otherwise the "supposed good guys" look like complete asshats.

While this game had a few moments where it did shine, it was outshined by absoutley everything else in BL2. The biggest pass I give this game is that it was done by a completely different team from the BL2. It honestly just feels like a BL2 DLC had gotten out of hand. As a standalone game its rough, if you see it as a siginificantly more expensive DLC then it passes, but ever so slightly.

All together I say just go play BL2 and its DLC because it all plays fun. Only really play this game if you get it dirt cheap.

This was one of the Best DLC's I have played in any game. Honestly kept my attention the entire way through. Even when the feelings hit hard I still loved it.
