Fun game. Short but brings you nostalgia. The found the some of the quest a bit tedious because they involve replaying an act multiple times to grind a specific monster. The city management was fun for me, simple but engaging. Specially because it is mixed with tower defense mechanisms.

It is a fine game to pass the time. The multiplayer(which is all about the game) is fun but still there were things that put me off. Like you had to wait too much time to quick if you forgot to leave a game after loosing. Tiny things that made the game not be as good as I would like it to be. Honestly, the concept is better than the execution. I hope more game like this come out in the future with a better implementation.

This RPG check so many boxes. Has great graphics, nice controls, amazing music, the art is lovely. the story is interesting.
If you love clasic JRPG, this is a game for you. You wont regret it. Plus it looks gorgeous at 4K.

I haven't played a game that hooked me up so quickly in a while. The game has a cool story, good graphics, simple but hard to master mechanics. and it is Free to Play with no Pay to Win...... Excellent!

This is basically a dark souls game in 2D, or as closer as it could be. The graphics are dark, the lore is in the items, the aestetics is soul like.

Also the skills and grinding for items or salt(exp) is very similar. I will 100% recommend this game, I love it so much.

Just save and copy the save file before fighting the last boss... so you can get both achievements without replaying the whole game :D. Get 100% achievements in one playthrough.

100% recommend for souls fans.

I bought thia game the minute it was out. I actually enjoy it very much. The game was fun and I would recommend.

But in my opinion, a well design map, and interesting story it has more re-playabily than randomness.

I dont think after completing the game and achivements I will replay the game, even if the genaral layout is different.

On the other hand, I have played C SOTN soooo many times, despite the fact that is the same game over and over. Just because it is so well crafted.

Still, I think this game is good for all the metroidvania fans that cannot get the latest version of C SoTN version from Konami.

Wow, how can I start. So many triple AAA games have bored me after a couple of hours... but this game got me. It is not a master piece but it is well done. I have enjoyed it every minute that I have been playing it and trying to get used to combos.... I think I have played to much jrpgs cause my hands keep tripping.
Anyways, I totally recomend this game, because it is FUN. That was games are supposed to be. Some games aspire to be so much more and fail to grasp anything. This one does not promise anything that does not accomplish.
It is a game from a new tiny team, so if you are looking things to critique, you are going to find them for sure. but so far the game has no crash for me, has been FUN enough for me not to stop playing and wanting to find every little secret.
I have been playing this game for a couple of hours with the latest patch and the game is in english. I have the voices in chinese, so I can enjoy it as it was developed.

Graphics: They are good enough, actually for the budget they have I am impressed. check the videos on youtube or steam.

Controls: Simple and responsive. You start with simple combos and you can expand later as you get more abilities. Don´t expect DMC combo system though, but more like GoW from PS.

Music: Good enough, I havent play the game for so long so I havent noticed if it gets repetitive later on :S

Voices: I am using chinese voices, and they seems good. I have not tried english and I will not. I try games in their original language and use subs, thats how I roll.

Difficulty: Easy, any gamer will figure out after a couple of minute where the secrets are but then again, I have not complete the game yet.

There are things that could be improved but on average and with so many games that are so dissapointing this one is a big thumb up.

I hope you guys can enjoy this simple but well done game.

I have not played the PS4 version of the game so I cannot compared. For many people was a simple port with not much customization(SquareEnix never does it for PC ports), but for me was just enough.

I loved this game after the super long intro. for some minutes(maybe an hour) I thought I was gonna hate it and let it root with my other not played games in my Steam Library. But I have been playing FF games sin the SNES era, and this one... I cannot explain it why, but I am totally addicted to it. It is a really simple game compared to other jRPGs(I personally have not enjoyed any new game from the TALES OF saga). I cannot stop playing it and I got obssesed with getting completing all mirages....

So if you like old style of jRPGs... and you love pokemon... you will certainly love this one. If you are uncertain it of any of the following categories I told you, I would skip it and wait for a sale in the future.

In the meantime I will continue grinding my mirages.
