I loved the first game and the sequel does not disappoint! The setting, humor and the whole concept of the Psychonauts just really strikes my fancy and I had a blast exploring the different inner psyches of the games' many crazy characters, most of which were completely original and fun to play around in.

Unfortunately, besides the amazing story the game is a pretty bland platformer. I was frequently annoyed by the interface (constantly switching between powers is pretty cumbersome) and the controls just felt a little off to me. And while I loved the enemies, battles were becoming a bit repetitive near the halfway mark. That is when the game started to become a bit less fun. Which is a shame because those first 15-20 hours were wonderful.

Still, annoyances aside, this is a great, colorful and incredibly funny game with a ton of content, charm and amazing character design. I'd expected that I wanted to go for a 100% completion when I'd finished but in the end I was just happy that I was done and I wrote this review. 8/10

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Days Gone. It's not a perfect game: I did not care for the quest interface (which often had me confused about what to do) and some of the walking cutscenes were dreadfully slow. But overall, this is a great game with likeable characters, a decent story about friendship and love, fluid and tense action, fun bike mechanics and a wealth of content to expore. Check it out if you like open world games, zombies and driving around on a bad-ass bike! 8/10

I've been following Milo for a while now, being a fan of fellow Dutchman Johan Scherft's work. I'm happy to say that the game is just as wonderful as I'd hoped it was.

The game follows Milo who ventures through some very typical Dutch backyards to reach his owner. Along the way you help out Milo by interacting with certain objects and solving some light puzzles. Throughout the game you get to know the neighbors from the talented piano player to the guy growing 'oregano' in his little shed.

The music is by Victor Butzelaar, who did excellent work on the Rusty Lake series. His music, and the game overall, is like a warm blanket that I very much enjoyed. And while the game is quite short (you can finish it in an hour, but there are secrets to collect) it is also very modestly priced. So modestly priced in fact that I felt a little bit guilty having bought in on sale.

If you like charming point and click adventures this is a must buy. 8/10

Cool game if you like collecting stuff! You go around this planet scanning creatures and plants and make progress (metroidvania style) until you reach the end of the game. There is some combat but it's not a huge part of the game.

I ended up rushing the end because I'd reached maximum level on most of my upgrades and the game got a little boring but overall I really enjoyed my time in Journey to the Savage Planet. 7/10

Fun little horrorgame. Short and snappy. It can be finished in about an hour. Curious to see where the series is going and looking forward to the next episode.

Not a bad game, just not one that I would recommend. Whereas I loved Dark Descent, Amnesia: Rebirths story didn't grip me and the sci-fi elements didn't ring my bell either. I did like that you are playing a pregnant woman though and the game looked really pretty in certain parts. But overall I sometimes felt like I was playing a puzzle game instead of a horror adventure. Get it on sale if you like the series and if not it is an easy game to skip. 5/10

I can't possibly give Little Nightmares a negative review because it is objectively a good game. And it has a ton of stuff that I really like in other games: an interesting (and dark) setting, gore and it knows how to tell a fascinating story. However I was put off by the incoherent controls and the frustrating trial and error difficulty. There were often times where I didn't know where to go and what to do. Not because of difficult puzzles but by lackluster level design. This one just didn't click for me. 6/10.

I don't like writing negative reviews but ADON just didn't click for me. I loved the audio design, the atmosphere, the setting and the actors but the gameplay just felt like a big old chore. A particularly punishing chore when caught by Jimmy, the star psychopath of the show. In the final part of the game I got stuck and tried for a full hour to further the story but I just couldn't make any progress whatsoever. I ended up watching the games ending on YouTube before uninstalling the game.

There is much to love here but in the end it was more frustrating than fun for me. 5/10

I'm going to make a bold claim here: 7 Days to Die is one of the best games I've ever played in all my years of gaming. Yes, it really is that good, especially in co-op: it's SO much fun to play with a friend!

I love the crafting, the exciting exploration, the strategic base-building, the farming and meticulously developing my character. I love that terrifying feeling I get when horde night approaches and my hopeful defenses will be put to the ultimate test. I love discovering a new and unknown biome or finding the plans to a new weapon or other item. I love the constant progression I make: there is always something new to disover, to build or to do. But most of all, I love slaying thousands and thousands of zombies!

7 Days to Die blends all these different experiences together in a completely addictive and exciting zombie-goo-dripping package of gory goodness. Even without mods, of which there are many, it offers a whole lot of replay value.

Just one piece of advice: increase the standard difficulty and the frequency of horde nights once you understand the basics. Put it up a notch or even three. The base game is quite tame and 7 Days to Die tells the most unforgettable stories when it's threatening, harsh and completely difficult. Don't let your guard down and try to survive! 10/10

I only tend to recommend against buying games when I really had a bad time playing them. Since I enjoyed my playthrough of Labyrinthine its a bit hard to give it a negative review but it's still very rough around the edges and if it comes down to a yes or no I would definitely advise waiting just a little longer before getting it. As it stands it is a bit of a mess: voice chat is not working as it should (there are huge delays and sometimes it is not working at all), configuring controls is non-existent and most of the item textures are pretty shady.

Still, it was at times scary and fun and the puzzles - although really simple - were pretty okay. And although it is lacking in replayability (I don't think the puzzles will change between playthroughs), I had good fun playing it cooperatively. If interested, I'd keep my eyes on this one but for now, there are better games to play. 6.5/10
