This game was good in 2014, don't bother now. The glory days have been over for a long time. Content creep, bad balancing, and terrible developers. Steep grind, P2W garbage. AVOID!

Super shocked at the quality of this little indie game. The developer is clearly super passionate and is consistently working on updates and patches. If you're looking for a single-player battlefield type game or a WW2 FPS of decent quality, give this a try! The price is super low and goes on sale frequently which is also nice!

One of the best co-op experiences you will ever have with randos. The community for this game is so amazing it's hard to put into words.

DRG is a super well designed game with an amazing vibe and smooth gameplay. It's come a long way from its humble beginnings, compared to then the level of polish is astounding. GSG has done an amazing job with this game, the dedication and passion of their team really shows!

One of the best parts about this game is the ease of entry. It only takes a few hours to get the basics, even more so if you have a greybeard to help you out. The tutorial is all you really need to know to understand the game's fundamentals. However, there is a level of complexity that should not be understated. The countless videos on YouTube of dissecting gameplay mechanics and playstyles is proof of that.

There's something for everyone here. You like going fast? Play Scout. Wanna just shoot things? Gunner's your dude. Like to dig holes and commit warcrimes? Digger. Like sentry guns and wacky gadgets? Engineer! Every class has a purpose and a well balanced team is essential for a smooth mission. But if you just wanna play whoever strikes your fancy, a team with all of the same class works too. This game prioritizes fun over hyper-competition and optimal play, but there's the option for higher level play if that's your cup of tea too.

If you like games like Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Minecraft or even Dwarf Fortress; this game is for you! Don't miss out on the fun, I wish I played this sooner!

As always, Rock and Stone!

As wide as an ocean and as shallow as a puddle. I'm still playing it for some reason..

As a Victoria 2 player there's some welcome changes but overall it feels kind of flat. I do like the direction they went with focusing on actually industrializing and building up, it's really quite satisfying. You WILL spend most of the time in game staring at the market and building tabs (which for me caused noticeable eye strain). You'll also spend a lot of time just trying to balance your goods, either importing them or trying to produce them inside your own nation. A lot of information isn't easily accessible, the big one annoyingly is your pop's needs. After nearly 20 hours of playing I can't for the life of me figure out where to see the exact goods my pops actually need! It's in an effing nested tooltip within another tooltip I'm sure!

Another annoyance for me is the lack of flavor for even the most important nations of the era (Prussia/Germany, France, UK, Austria, etc.). There's no scripting for the AI to actually even attempt at having historical borders. I've played until nearly the end of the game and haven't seen Germany actually unify or the USA take the southwest and west coast. It's like they just shipped this game out in beta and didn't even bother to add historical events TO A HISTORICAL SIMULATOR. It's baffling really, I'm aware of the mechanics for German unification but it's just a step down from Victoria 2's influence system and scripted decisions. Right now pretty much every nation is a blank slate that can go in any direction with little to no railroading. Which is fine from a player control perspective however when you have AI that just goes in random directions it's just a strange experience.

When I first saw the new war mechanics it did put me off from even looking at this game. It was like a slap in the face to most fans of Paradox games. However, I can see the potential. Unfortunately there's so little depth to it besides sticking your general somewhere and watching. I get this game is more focused around economics rather than map painting, but It needs more player input for it to feel satisfying. I don't think just backtracking to the old style of warfare from Victoria 2 is the answer though. I'm not a game developer, so I couldn't really say for certain the best way to approach this issue. I'm sure the entire community griping about it will get Paradox to actually find a way to fix it (doubtful).

I suspect this game will be worth paying full price for in a few years after multiple patches and dlcs. Hopefully they won't abandon this like Imperator, which was actually going in the right direction after a few years of patching (until they killed it). If you're a huge Victoria 2 fan I would say give this a go if you really want to. For everyone else who's on the fence or new to Victoria, perhaps steer clear of this until it's got more content and the kinks are ironed out. Wait for a sale a few years from now when it's actually a more complete experience. Or just go buy Victoria 2 on sale and install HPM or something...

The closest thing we have to a modern Red Orchestra 2.

Early Access Review
I remember this game being really fun to play over a year ago, but being in an early access state with much to be desired. Booted up the game today and there's less than 30 people playing, dead as a doornail. Real shame too, it was the best semi-realistic WW1 game besides Verdun. Maybe one day the players will return and I can actually play a game I spent 29 dollars for...

I've never played Ace Combat but hot damn this is some good stuff. Plays nicely with keyboard and mouse controls.

The campaign is a return to form as well as something new. I'm satisfied with it and there's plenty of replayability with side content and collectible hunting. The open world gives me Combat Evolved vibes and the story is interesting on it's own. There are possible rumors of expansions/dlc for the single-player which will hopefully add more content and expand the story. If you're like me and stayed away from modern Halo after 4 this is definitely a must play!
