Early Access Review
An engaging medieval survival game that is similar to Medieval Dynasty with a little bit of a more robust combat system. It's got a long way to go but what it has so far is promising - the developers, despite previous projects being shelved - have pushed out many patches to make the game playable and optimised.

The only quarrel I have is with the early access price. Paying full price to test a game for a studio that is supported by a producer is... well it's not really okay. Independently produced games with less staff release their games for much cheaper on early access and do perfectly well out of it.

All in all, it has promise. Maybe wait for some more content before paying the price it asks though.

Starship Troopers wearing a different mask - I'm okay with this.

Sony fixed their mandatory account linking shenanigans so this review is now positive. It will be changed to negative if they ever make linking mandatory again.

Doing my part to put this game back to positive. <3

Early Access Review
The solo developer of this game has worked on it for 7 years. There are some of us that have been waiting for a game like this for just as long or longer.

This game scratches that itch left by games like Banished, that gives us the gameplay we wanted after playing games like Medieval 2: Total War.

It's beautiful, slow (in a good way), and authentic feeling. The villages and towns you can build feel organic and natural and grow just as a village would have grown in the era.

5/7 perfect score.

Early Access Review
This game is great, but I can't recommend it while the developers allow even a small subset of the community to be effected by a systematic abuse of the "comms reputation system" that allows you to upvote/downvote players messages in the global chat channels, thereby getting them removed from being able to communicate any further.

This is an inherently massively exploitable system and it has been proven time and time again that it is being exploited, despite the developers objections. Clans, alternative accounts, and just large groups of trolls can very easily remove someone from being able to communicate on a whim by mass downvoting messages and valuable players that provide guidance, strategic advice and information, and essential intelligence, are now no longer able to, and choose to no longer play as a result.

While I continue to play and enjoy most aspects of this game, I will not change this review to positive until this issue is fixed.

EDIT @ 675 hours gameplay: I am now the latest in a growing trend of players being voted into poor comms by trolls and targeted attacks from groups. I have played as QM for my faction for many hours, providing valuable information on the best way to help our faction gain tech, where it should go, and what we're doing to help the faction win. For this, my reward is to be downvoted by trolls and put into poor comms.

Early Access Review
I think first and foremost the majority of the Steam userbase that are negatively reviewing this game fall under one of two categories:
• People who don't understand what Early Access means.
• People who don't understand what Dungeons and Dragons is.

I bought this game at full price a day or two after it released into Early Access. I was initially hesitant but after seeing some gameplay from content creators I follow, I decided it was worth at least a look.

Despite running into problems from the start with Multiplayer/Cooperative gameplay, and various graphical bugs and two game crashes in total, the game was still a lot of fun and immersive. It's based around the DnD 5e ruleset, which means everything is essentially based on a roll of a die, with modifiers from your own stats being thrown into the mix.

Even with the issues I encountered, within a week of releasing into early access, there were two hotfixes and one larger patch which fixed all of the issues I encountered.

As with all reviews, this is entirely my own opinion and here I will list the pros and cons of my experience so far:

Pros:
• Engaging Storyline
• Beautiful visuals
• Character visuals to put Bioware to shame
• DnD 5e ruleset
• Larian don't take themselves too seriously
• I had fun

Cons
• Not all races in the character creator
• Character creator seemed a little bit lacking, there was a lot of options for colours, but ... 4 options for different faces for a half elf. With your character being in many beautifully constructed cutscenes, I would have thought that you'd have at least got sliders for your own character facial features.
• Charging full price for an early access game that only delivers 20% of the overall games story and content is a bit... ehhh.
• Some balancing issues with regards to loot

With all that said, I think it's worth a look. Grab it, play two hours, and if you're not hooked, refund it. What have you got to lose?

You can lob turds at people, laugh, dance, and then get killed by a peasant with a frying pan, all in the space of 2 seconds.

Get it.

The realism of a decent management game coupled with nostalgia from Theme Hospital. I could list pros and cons but honestly, you can refund it if you don't like it, so just try it.

Early Access Review
This is by far the best management tycoon game that I have ever had the pleasure to play. The depth and attention to detail that went into Airport CEO is something that all other games in this genre should take not of.

I could list the pros and cons but the only con is that there are bugs - but it's an early alpha, what do you expect? If you buy an early access game that JUST released in alpha, and that this is the studios FIRST game, you really cannot expect a AAA quality stable game - but you know what? This is more stable than most other Early Access games I've played.

Don't believe the haters - buy the game, build the airport of your dreams, and support these guys for two years of hard work, and hopefully many more!

P.S. The devs have already pushed out two patches and it hasn't even been 24 hours yet. Let that sink in.
