Early Access Review
This game has incredible potential, and from what i have seen so far the team behind it to REALIZE that potential.

If you are a fan of RPG's, Roguelike Games, and management simulators this game has/will have everything you need.

By all means wait until v1.0 and get it then, i'm sure the developer will appreciate it just as much. but to be honest the way that the development team are enaging with their community. in terms of Dev Chat Twitch streams and daily discussions on the discord this is WELL WORTH THE EARLY ACCESS. I am not disappointed.

Yes there is an RNG element (as you expect in all games of this nature) but with the road map ahead this game is planned to have a lot of immersion in character skills to mitigate and control that RNG. Exactly the sort of Descisions -> Direct results that make games like this as fun as they are.

In its present state the game is playable and certainly a lot of fun. but to me this games development is exactly what Early Access should feel like. It should feel that the develpment team have a clear and acheivable roadmap - a SMART plan and they are sharing their vision and plans with the community. And that the community gets to go on that adventure with them.

I'll be voting for this one in next years steam awards for sure - the roadmap (as i understand it), is to reach release state in mid 2019. but i'll be having a bunch of fun with this game even before that :)

Summer 2019 Patch:

Just a couple of hours into the new patch. The changes made to the game certainly achieve what the developers wanted - fewer redundant skills and a more engaging story. Seems like a Stable build so far - and JUST SO HAPPY that team continue to deliver on their promises with the development of this pretty unique storytelling/RPG adventure game.

This is one of the few games that i would recommend in Early Access. Normally Early Access is something that i would avoid, but not here.

Not often I mke negative reviews.

As you can see I really gave this game a shot hoping that something new/interesting/challenging would happen.

23 hours in and simply nothing left to engage me to come back.

Kinda felt like a brainless game (no pun intended) just doing the same thing over and over again.

I got very repetative and boring.

the fights felt like i could not lose them by the end and it was just a clickfest over and over again

A really fun and suprisingly deep game. I'm a great fan of FTL and Darkest Dungeon. This is just as good, if not better than both of those. It also has that 'one more turn' feel of something like Civilization. and the risk vs reward mindset of another game i play - BloodBowl.

It also feels a bit like an old game that i used to play on my original XBOX called 'Gladius' the combination of descision making in combat together with the number crunching for various task/challenges works great.

Really enjoyable and just what i was looking for as a lighthearted inbetweener game.

Excellent game, For RPG'ers and Number Crunchers alike.

Really looking forward to trying Radient mode. The only concern i had with this game was the 80+ hour grind. now there is an expectation that a radient run through can be completed in the region of 40 hours it will be much more pleaseing.

Looking forward to my next (and many more) runthroughs of this great game.

Initial impressions are excellent - not tried multiplayer yet and am focussing on the growth and development of my single player warband first.

Good Job Developers!
