Very fun with friends or randos. Just keep your wits about you, and keep your aim true, and you'll do great!

A pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ solid free horror game. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but it seems to have some interesting lore and a heartwarming final ending (won't spoil it though). Kudos to the developer for doing a lot with RPGmaker, they really did some impressive work.

If you like retro styled adventure/horror games, I definitely recommend this for you!

PS: Make sure to feed the wildlife, they really appreciate it.

Everything about this game is fantastic. The gameplay, the graphics, the worldbuilding...oh and there's also the soundtrack, which will blow your socks off. I can't say that I've ever played something so pure before. I don't want to call it a perfect game, but it comes as close as one can get to that. 10/10

Great game, but a very steep learning curve, at least for people new to the genre.

Such a beautful game. I've been excited to play it for a while and it's really been worth the wait. The sprite artwork is drop dead gorgeous and the music is just as good. The gameplay is (importantly) quite solid. I'm absolutely blown away by the atmosphere of this game.

Without saying too much, I find the story to be pretty good, but probably one of the weaker points to an otherwise stellar game. There's also little replayability aside from a few side quests, though what this game has to offer certainly makes it worth the price. Ultimately I would give it an 9 out of 10.

Been playing this since long before it made it on steam, and it's one of my favorite mods of all time. If you want to play a living piece of gaming history, you've come to the right place.

NOTICE: This review was written before I completed the main storyline. I may change my rating later once I've completed my first run of the game.

This is one of those times I wish I could rate a game mixed. Fallout 4 is definitely not a bad game in any sense of the word. The graphics aren't too bad (at least in my opinion), the gunplay is fantastic, and it's definitely a good timewaster. However, I feel as though this game is a little far from Fallout universe. The main storyline is kind of boring (though there are some really interesting characters visited in it, looking at you Nick Valentine), and it seems sort of out of place with everything else going on.

One of my biggest problems with the game is with how it handles characterization. In other Fallout games, you're given more free reign in regards to personality. You could feel connected to your character because they had no pre-established backstory besides what scant details the main plot gave you. The player got to flesh them out, and make them unique. In Fallout 4 however, there's no speculation about our character's motivations. Despite whatever apearance we give them, our player character is already given a voice, both literally and figuratively.

The crafting system is a mixed bag for me. I really like all the options that are available, but too often I feel like I'd rather just pay caps for a weapon mod or a turret instead of scavenging for parts. That being said, it's badass to be able to customize your power armor, and the mods/buildings you can make are pretty cool.

Now for the bugs. I've had many issues with lag (especially around Diamond City), but I'm running this on a somewhat low end computer so I'm just chalking it up to that. Otherwise, nothing I've encountered has been gamebreaking. However, many people I know have had issues even starting it up, so I'm kind of hung up on this.

Ultimately, despite the flaws I've listed, I really like this game. The positives have outweighed the negatives for me so far. It's by no means a work of art, or even groundbreaking, but it's still very good. There's a lot of potential here for some good mods, and maybe even some nice DLC (as long as it's story based).

Bottom line, is this worth $60? No.
But it's worth a look whenever it gets cheaper.

Amazing game, but quite difficult. Soundtrack's just as good if not better than the base game. I have yet to play Easy mode, but it's sure to be a blast as well. If you loved the original, you'll love this expansion.

Different than the last game, but fun as hell. I'd definitely only play this if you've beaten or are familiar with the first game. Otherwise you miss out on a lot of important plot details. Also, the difficulty is way higher in this one. You wanna keep your wits about you, and memorize the locations of your enemies or you'll get sniped. My only real complaint is that the soldier levels get a little tedious, as well as some of the later ones with certain other characters.

Bottom line,
going for that Hard run

9/10

EDIT:

Now that the level editor has been released I've decided to give it a 10/10. Most of the custom content I've downloaded has been top notch, or at least good for a playthrough or two.
Have fun guys!

Hell yes. One of the best games I have ever, and will ever play. The plot is heart wrenching, the gameplay is addicting, and the environment is fantastic. Also, I love that Mikennemonic is in this.

10/10 would put it next to Mother 3 and Earthbound.
Thank you Dingaling for bringing this glorious masterpiece to the world.

EDIT: (2/20/20)

It's been 6 years, and I still come back to this game and do a yearly play-through. I consider it to be one of my favorite games of all time.

Check it out, you won't regret it.
