Holy crap, what a fantastic game! Turns out everything I've heard about AC2 all this years were true. This is a fantastic game and improves vastly on everything that was done on the first entry.
Assassin's Creed 2 has a great and lengthy story, that doesn't bore you at all (like the first one may have). There are many missions types, which add some longevity to the game since you have lots of collectibles to collect and secondary missions to do.
The gameplay and audio have improved severely: the freerun feels more natural (smarter too!) and there are lots of different weapons, that causes the combat to be deeper and more enjoyable. The voice acting is top notch and the music is very atmospheric, as is the fantastic environment and colorful open world. The cities, buildings, persons and historical events are accurate and very well developed. There's also a new economy system where you receive money as a means of taxes (via Villa upgrades), which can be used to buy weapons, armors, ammunition, etc.
After playing this game, Assassin's Creed 1 felt like a tutorial. This is what the first one should've been and it's marvelous, a classic and a must-play.

Mars: War Logs is pretty much a diamond in the rough. It's story felt a little rushed and the (Honour, at least) ending felt flat and underwhelming. The game approaches mature themes and has good story paths (two different endings): the universe is interesting and has tons of potential.
The game is graphically appealing and it's fights are satisfying enough. The costumization and scavaging system are well implemented, with lots of upgrades to do. The atmosphere and backstory of the world are specially good, even though the cities don't actually feel alive: they are filled with people that exist only to be there. The dialogues are pretty bad and, unfortunately, the voice acting leaves a lot to be desired (just as the lip syncing and the facial animations, which provoked some unexpressive characters overall).
This Cyberpunk RPG needed just a little more time on the oven and it could have been a fantastic game. Sadly, it's just an enjoyable experience.

Opposing to the usual fast paced first person shooters, SUPERHOT is a time bending fps "puzzle" game: time only moves when you move so you need to carefully plan your moves before moving and taking an action. The game has a simple minimalist design and it's very matrix like. It had great potential: the core gameplay is very well implemented but the game lacks of length and a story worth remembering. It's around 2 hours of gameplay which, when beaten, unlocks you various game modes (the endless mode, challenges, etc) that will keep you entertained for a good amount of hours. It's one of those pick up and play games, you know?
I think everyone who enjoys playing first person shooters should definitely give this game a try but sadly, only when bought at a big sale (at least 75% off). It's a good game, it's the most innovative shooter I've played in years, but not a bang for your buck kind of game.

Sniper Elite is a tactical third-person shooter that hasn't aged very well, in both gameplay and graphics, since 2005. Being this the beginning of (what I heard is) a good video game series, this one is a overall pretty forgettable game. The sniper and stealth gameplay are well made, but it's just that. The story and characters are, like I said, forgettable. There's not much to say about it because there's not much to do in it either. It's basically killing nazis in slow motion while saving other soldiers.

Brutal Legend is a different game: it's an homage to metal with great music (as expected \m/), fantastic characters with really good voice acting, cameos (Jack Black, Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Halford, etc) and many references to the genre itself. It's creative, innovative and funny!
The art style and integration of metal into a video game worked splendid.
Just be aware that this is more a RTS than a 3rd person action game. I knew about the whole RTS thing and I was not disappointed (even though I'm not a big RTS player). The mix of styles could've been a disaster but, to our happiness, it was well implemented.
The side quests are fun but do get repetitive quite fast. There are also many collectibles and upgrades to get and extras to unlock. This all gives a little of replay value to the game, if you like that.
This is a fantastic game that I recommend everyone to get, even if you're not a metal fan.

However, the real question remains unanswered: why can't Eddie jump?

Saints Row 2 is a great sand-box action video game. It's well written and has high quality voice acting with believable and memorable characters. The missions are enjoyable and don't feel like a drag at all. There's a lot of variety in the game: the activities are fun and addicting. The same applies to the respect system and how it all works together, really well implemented.
The soundtrack is very strong, with a good mix of genres (hip hop, 80s, etc).
However, the one thing that didn't made this game a 9 out of 10 is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ port. Cars disappearing and sometimes sluggish framerates. Gladly, I only had it crash on me once through the entire game, which was probably thanks to the Gentleman of the Row mod (which I fully recommend you installing before playing this game). The Artificial Intelligence has some problems too (which can be a little frustrating), but no big deal.
This game is just pure fun!

After hearing so much good stuff about Broken Age, I sure had to give it a try. It's a great point-and-click adventure with an intriguing plot and very interesting characters although I didn't got attached to them as much as I would've liked. The voice acting and the overall design of the game are just plain beautiful.
But yes. The puzzles in act 2 are just plain annoying and I had to use a guide to complete them. It was just hell to get through even though they were so hexa-cute!

I'd recommend to get Broken Age on a sale and even if you don't like difficult puzzles, there are plenty of no-spoiler guides online. If you do like them, the Act 2 is perfect for you :)

Put simply, Bastion is a piece of art. Seriously. The soundtrack, atmosphere, artwork, story and voice acting are all fantastic! All of it combined create an experience ready for the player to enjoy a few hours of happy immersion. The way the game progresses is beautifully well made and all the different weapons gives the player the power to play through this game as however we want.
I don't have anything bad to say about it and recommended it to everyone who enjoys a great game. Really, I'm only sad that I've waited more than 5 years to play this. Get it as soon as possible!

Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition is one hell of a game. While the combat can be simplistic, it is flawless and combined with the stealth, gadgets, detective mode and all the puzzle solving really makes you feel like Batman.
It presents an engaging story with quality voice acting (Mark Hamill!) and characters. Sadly, my only dislike about the game is the final boss battle as it was a little bit underwhelming. Last but not least, the atmosphere is great and the dark setting just completely immerses you in Arkham Asylum.
It's also a great game for completionists as it gives you multiple things to keep you entertained. I've only played the campaign and found one or another obvious Riddler Trophy and got 66% of completion (finished it in 11,6 hours).
A no-brainer for any action and/or Batman fan.

Game Of Thrones - A Telltale Games Series (Season 1?) was an enjoyable experience but not a fantastic one, to say the truth. Story wise, considering that there's so much about the fantastic world created by George R R Martin, it felt a little too weak. I can see why it's been said that your choices don't matter that much because I too felt that way even though at the end of episode 6, while displaying the choices made by the overall community it gives the feeling that you could actually kill or not kill x character that, while playing I didn't feel that.
I loved the combination of locations and different stories in the game. However, I did liked the art direction chosen for this game but sometimes the scenery doesn't blend too well with the characters, in my opinion.

I think you should still try this game but approach it open minded. Don't expect too much and it will be okay. Even good, if you enjoy the setting/are a fan of the GoT world.
