I go back to this game every few months to check if it really was as amazing as I remember it. IT ALWAYS IS.

As a Bethesda fanboy I was really excited about the game. I've finished the main story and several of the major side quests and while I did have some fun, overall I found the game dissapointing.

Pros:

- While the main story was crap (as in almost all Bethesda games), some of the side quests were really interesting.

- The shooting is not amazing, but quite good.

- I love exploring major cities (except Akila). They are unique and dense (contrary to everything else in this game), filled with interesting npcs and things to do.

- The skill system is well done, feels like a mix of elder scrolls and fallout.

Cons:

- Optimization and performance were bad. The game is pretty, but I was forced to play it on lower settings to maintain 30 fps. I haven't played it after the nvidia dlss patch, so thing may be better now (Probably not).

- The elephant in the room. The procedural generated 1000+ planets that have the same 5 points of interest and a lot of nothing between them. Why Tod, why? Why do you abandon the thing that you do best - making vast rich worlds filled with interesting characters and unique places to explore.

- The space travel is done in the most unimmersive way possible. It's just navigating through a bad UI, clicking on points and watching loading screens.

- The main story is uninspiring. The repeatable temple quest and the "catch the light" mini game are stright up annoying.

- The space battles are boring and wildly unbalanced on highest difficulty as the combat lacks defensive mechanics and you end up taking tons of damage to the face. The "Target System" mechanic is poorly implemented (it should slow/pause time or faster to switch) as you rarely have the time to switch power during battle.

Even with numerous DLCs and patches, I can't see this game becoming a lot better as it's not about content or optimization only, it's about the fundamental mechanics being bad. My only hope lays in the amazing mod community.

I'm really enjoying this.

The visuals are quite bad, the background graphics look like windows wallpapers and the UI (especially the extra info pop-up) is very annoying.

But the gameplay is really satisfying and there are tons of unlockable characters, each one with its own unique playstyle.

Addicting coop roguelike. Great turn-based combat and solid variety of characters, builds and unlockables.

The game is probably best with 2 or 3 people in the party, but solo runs are still good and a lot quicker. I haven't played it with 4 but I believe it would take too much time to plan and synchronize and the runs will take forever.

A fresh take on Vampire Survivors with a slice of Hades and a pinch of Diablo, wrapped in gorgeous pixel art graphics. I'm loving it.

I loved the first part of the game, it's a great deckbuilder with some interesting twists and a dark, mysterious atmosphere. But it all went downhill from there.

The best coop roguelite I've played. Gorgeous pixel graphics, fast paced combat and interesting skills and items. The only thing that I don't like is that sometimes the visuals could be a bit overwhelming and distracting, especially if you play with 3 or more players, but you get used to it with time.

Slay the Spire may be the king of deckbuilders, but this game is the prince.

Amazing little gem. Hope the devs add some more content before full release, as it is a bit short, but it is still hard recommend.

Big fan of the first one, but I did not like this one. Not because it's very different, I actually liked that they wanted to try something new. But it just doesn't work.

Pros:

- Visually it is stunning. They've managed to keep the style and the atmosphere of the first game, but drastically improve the graphics and the animations. At one point I was just switching skills and characters just to look at that sleek animations.

- Combat is even better than the first DD. Skills are clean an better balanced and the token mechanic works very well.

Cons:

- This is the `big one. The rogulike format just doesn't work. Usually in games like this you would pick skills, items and upgrades during the run, carefuly crafting you "build". In DD2 you make you major decisions at the start of the run, when you pick your characters and nothing dractically changes during the run as skills have only one upgrade and you usually end upgrading most of them.

- A lot of the new mechanics are meaningless or just annoying. Like driving the stagecoach or the new relationship mechanic.
