In its current state, it cannot be played without a lot of faff for set up and maintaining a bot-free game. Whether their spamming political Nazi terminology or about how you spin them right round, the game grinds to a halt until both teams take time to kick the bot quickly before it spreads like herpies. New players were muted/gagged, but that has done nothing to stop the hateful imagery as bots can just as easily get a paid account. Everything they've attempted to do has always felt like a bandaid that they never remembered to remove and follow up with... Hell, I'd give away my items if it meant I'd not having to deal with phishers again, but I'm sure anyone who'd ask is also a phisher. I don't feel like the charities are even worth it...

Valve, as I have always said, just say something every so often. Or even if it is "we cannot solve the bot problem with our current resources" or "we have retired the source engine and have no plans to port TF2 to Source 2"... or even just "we're still working on something, be patient." Just anything. The radio silence is deafening...
