Play this game, you won't regret it. At all. It's such a good game. The bestest. Even your wallet loves this game. Never stop playing this game. You must play this game. Forever.

I'm going to rate this Positive because it's Ark. But I'm going to caveat that with. Holy sh*t this game runs like ass. Hope they do something about it soon. Star Citizen runs better. And it's broke 90% of the time.

It's essentially Skyrim in Space. There are some issues. Inventory management is a pain at times, and the map system is less than stellar. It is however a fun game with plenty to do. Lots of side quests, activities, random ♥♥♥♥ to stumble on. The Main Story is fairly interesting, but by no means is it the star of the show. There is an awful lot of very involved side content to run that will keep you interested and keep you going. Outpost building is a mixed bag from me simply due to the resource requirements. Owning a house seems like an afterthought. Ship building is cool, but I wish there was a way to start a ship design from scratch without having sacrifice an existing ship - just a minor thing, but it'd be nice.

If you like Bethesda games. You'll be right at home.

It's everything you could ever want from Battlefield and arguably better.. Fun as hell. Totally worth $15 bucks and then some.

I have played and beaten this game on PS3 way back when it originally came out. I enjoyed the hell out of it back then and continue to enjoy it today. I picked up the *remaster* when it came out, but never really caught myself in a mood to play it. However, after digging around looking for something to play on my Steam Deck - - I decided to revisit it.

The game is a bit slow on the start, but once things get moving it's quite endearing. It's a solid storyline through and through and plays pretty well. Just remember, you are playing an old-ass game, so some of the systems aren't going to compare to games released in the last few years. If you like R.A. Salvatore, or are just looking for an interesting RPG to dive into, this game is totally worth a play.

Also - for those on Steam Deck.... It might as well be *Verified*. It runs beautifully on the Steam Deck from the get-go. Tweak settings if you feel like it. But this game not only looks great on the Deck, but it runs smoothly as well.

Go find a copy of Heavy Gear 2 - and play that. It's 23 years old - but it's a far superior game.

I don't generally like survival games. But I am really enjoying this game. What sorcery is this?

Tree's are probably the most dangerous enemy I've encountered yet. Especially when they are wielded by a giant troll trying to use you for batting practice.

The 80 Hour Edit:

Okay. So now that I've put considerably more time into the game. All I can say is, "Wow."

This game plays like a dream. The systems seem relatively simple at a glance, and for the most part they are. But you can find a level of strategic and tactical depth in the food management and gear preparation, so that when you head out on adventures, it feels like you are actually prepping for something.

The idea of sailing off into the unknown, even after discovering all 5 biomes, still feels risky. Going father from home....farther from the safety of your village. It adds a level of fear to the exploration. You know what you are getting into, but the difficulty scaling seems appropriate. At 80 hrs, my friends and I are starting to farm the Plains biome now. And whilst, we can handle Fuling and the associated threats fairly decently, but we still have to be careful how we approach enemies. One wrong misstep and we are coming back for our tombstones.

After 80 hours, this game is still *fun*. We haven't fought the 5th boss yet, as we are still upgrading our camps and our main base's infrastructure. Getting our farms going, finishing smaller projects.

Everything about this game so far has just been a blast. The progression make sense, and whilst there are some dramatic difficulty spikes between say Black Forest and Swamp biomes, they aren't so drastic that they cannot be overcome. You just have to use your noggin and find the smart way to deal with obstacles.

The building system is also starting to eek it's secrets and show how flexible it is, despite it's simplicity. Currently have a castle in construction and finding the ability to morph and shape the terrain indispensable in it's construction. Some things are a little wonky, but otherwise. It's turning out to be pretty scale-able.

Anyways. Just figured I'd update this silly review and share my thoughts. I'm finding this game brilliant. And I cannot wait for the future updates.

It might be a bug-riddled, technical ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess. But damnit... It's just too damned engrossing. Fun as hell, and the world is absolutely beautiful. I guess we shall see if CDPR pulls another Witcher 3 with this one.

Ultimately though, the game is great. If you have a machine capable of running it. Guess we get to call this a "Benchmark" title. Like the good old days when Crysis was king of making your computer sweat. Give it some time, and hopefully CDPR will clean up this mess and CP77 should be a trouble-free game. I'm hoping for Expansion Packs that are as compelling as the Witcher 3 ones were.

But do I think they should have delayed it farther? Hell yes I do... But I kinda get why they didn't.

So...back to Night City I go.

Simply fantastic. If you own VR, this is definitely one of those, Must Have Games. Perfect for anyone from the casual to the hardcore. There is something here for every skill level. And it's also a very intense workout to those who are willing to push themselves. Get ready to sweat and have fun doing it.

Simply one of the best VR titles out there.

Went Spelunking. Felt like I was in a horror movie. Weird mutant cannibal thing jumped out of darkness and ate my friends face off. We all screamed and ran the opposite direction. Left our friend to become mutant food so we could escape.

Remember kids. You don't have to outrun the bad thing chasing you. Just outrun your friends.

10/10 would leave friend behind again.
