While the game is rough around the edges it provides you a character arc of Henry that is hardly seen through the usual middle-age power fantasies in video games. You start off as a commoner and you can feel that all the way through. Tenacity will be rewarded and the dice rolls in stat checks make sense. Have fun if you choose to undertake the journey.

Works more or less like a One Piece movie and that's why it's so easy to fit into the canon world. Full of what-ifs and references both in the main storyline as well as additional missions that goes to show that the people behind the game know the source material rather well. Also full of rather engaging side content. The gameplay mechanics and combat don't have a lot of depth to them but you probably won't mind this if you're a fan of the franchise since the models look good and you've got a nice amount of at least surface-level customization for the individual characters. Definitely worth the 5€ I paid for it.

Early Access Review
The gameplay and customisation are both great but I wouldn't recommend getting this game unless you're not bothered by extremely slow updates. The game has been on early access for several years and probably will be for a few more to come. Though for many people the story isn't the high point for the game anyhow, and this includes myself. If you can get it on a sale though it may be worth getting even if it's not finished yet.

Comfy, cute and a surprisingly immersive and endearing game for something that's presented in such a silly manner.

Early Access Review
From a great, time consuming and, by many of my friends' words, very balanced game
to borderline pay to win aspects with one update. (OB44)
You're better off going back to TF2 if they manage to not fix the mess they've made with this game.

There are three things you should consider when planning to buy this game:

- The story follows the key battles in One Piece all the way until Dressrosa. With some bonus content. The story has been cut a bit so that it can fit into the chapters and whatnot in this game, but it doesn't really bother you as much if you can fill the in-betweens with your own knowledge. As such, being a fan of One Piece is highly recommended.

- This is a console port, and so having a controller is almost a must. I could never see myself playing this game comfortably using nothing but my keyboard and my mouse. But that's how it is for nearly every fighting game, so if you're considering getting this game, you should already own one.

-I've never played any games of this type, as in, Dynasty Warriors. So this was a completely new kind of game for me, which might've altered my view on it a bit.

All in all it's nothing to click your tongue at. If you're a fan of One Piece you should consider buying it. There are tons of characters in the game and a lot to do until you feel like you've actually finished it. And there's apparently room for a second player in the game as well but I've yet to try that, so I'll not comment on that either.

Most people also run into some problems when launching the game and when watching cutscenes, but there are solutions to these problems on online forums if you know where to look.
And make sure to use the game backup function every now and then as there is no Cloud on this game. At least yet. Hopefully it's still in the works and soon in our use.

You get to kill your friends and free prisoners from a small population of theatre-running monstercats.

I'm not much of a platformer player, but I must say that Cave Story+ is a great game anyhow. Although I haven't played the original Cave Story, it doesn't matter. The game still gives you that retro feel, and playing even this well-made remake puts a smile on my face with the great music and gameplay. Although I must say, for ones of you who intend to buy this game; it's much better to play on a controller. Or so I would say. I'll get to try it out myself in a while and be amazed again.
