JRPG cutscenes but with a very semi-turn based tactical strategy game inside of them. Really cool game!

If you´re like me and tried to get into Arma 2 and Arma 3, but just couldn´t get the game
to feel that special tactical way you wanted, Squad is for you.
Without going into overcomplicating control schemes, Squad captures teamwork and realistic combat scenarios
in a super addicting way.
I came from the Project Reality game thinking it was a godsend, and I am stoked to see how Squad continues to
develop.
If you like small scale roleplaying as a soldier, talking military jargon over your mic and just having a fun exciting
time with your squadmates, this game is for you.
If you like fast, twitch-reflexed FPSes and leaderbords, this game is not for you.

I am a big scaredy cat when it comes to horror. I can take gory stuff like zombies, vampires, chtuhlu-monsters and all that pretty well. Amnesia though, that freaked me out beyond anything I had experienced though. I could not even manage to get more than 3 hours into the game before I shut if off and never turned back on again.
When SOMA was in the works I thought to myself "Well, I´m just going to buy that game, crap my pants and then never play it a second time". But the more I learned about the game the more my curiosity grew. When the game came out I managed to conquer my fears and bought it, and quickly dove in to the game. I am so glad my curosity got the best of me.

If you´re like me, and you value atmosphere to be a BIG part of making a good game(perhaps THE biggest part), then you are going to love this game.
The horror is there, but the curiosity to find out what the next step on the journey is, how the story is going to unveil itself is so totally worth it.

Good work Frictional, you truly are the masters of horror games.
I would recommend this game to all my friends, even the ones that don´t like horror.

A game packed with great atmosphere and great difficulty.
If you love pen & paper roleplaying games and like the Chtuhlu-mythos; this game is for you.
The thrill of finding new island gets me every time. A truly unique game!

Right from the start you are sucked in by the great visuals and the awesome music. The atmosphere in this game is really good, a quality I usually like the most in the games I play. The combat system is cool and plays well. The story on the other hand was so so, I did not really follow all the characters that well, but got the overall picture of it.
I can also see why some(very boring) people would be put down by the art style, but for myself it is a big plus, and I would really love to see more stories play out in this world that´s been created.
