343i has actually done well to knock this release out of the park. The initial drop of MCC on PC was rough but they've kept up with good communication with the public and managed to patch almost all major issues. With Halo 4 releasing just recently we finally have all of Halo available on PC besides 5 and it's as easy as could be to play with your friends, or just jump into a quick match.

This release also helps solidify the idea that Halo holds up. Many new players jumping into 1,2,&3 to see the hype and getting sucked into the universe.

So there are some definite flaws to this game, but clocking around 7 hours of total time for the first playthrough on standard difficulty I can say I do recommend this game. It's a short, well contained story with a breakneck pace that really helps with the "fear" factor of the game. It's constantly tense and while Nemesis isn't always stalking you or feeling like a threat, the regular zombies are definitely more aggressive. The unknown nature of the how many of the undead exist behind each door also gives you some true blue thrills.

You will probably see a lot of "fans" of Resident Evil complaining about cut content in this game. In my opinion, there wasn't anything really "cut" from the game as it's still the same length to complete as the old RE3 (1999). Likewise, the removed zones of the Raccoon City Park and Graveyard both were "poor" zones. The new additions to the police station, expansion of the hospital segment, and the new final zone (instead of deadfactory) make up for the difference easily.

For comparison to RE2 Remake, I can that that this game is weaker by comparison. It doesn't have as many puzzles as well as a shorter story but not it's not a huge detraction in my mind as this game does refine some of the combat. Zombies feel like they take less random damage but you have a harder time with them due to their increased numbers and more aggressive AI.

I haven't had a chance to play the multiplayer (Resistance) yet, so I may update with info on that later. After just finishing the game though, I am excited to go back and do a replay at some point to earn more of the unlockables as well just try my hand at harder difficulties.

System Specifications:
Core i5 3570K @ 4.4Ghz
4x8GB DDR3 1866Mhz RAM (32GB total)
Sapphire RX480 8GB Nitro+ @ 1450Mhz

Past expereience with Monster Hunter:
200ish Hours in Freedom Unite on the PSP
100ish Hours in 3 Ultimate on the 3DS
250ish Hours in 4 Ultimate on the 3DS
200ish Hours in Generations on 3DS
200ish Hours in World on PS4

WIth all that out of the way, there is no way to deny that this is a pretty shoddy port. When you play solo, this game runs fine most of the time. You only hit some occasional frame drops (down to 45ish) on high settings with my config, but Volumetric Fog turned off. Unfortunately, if you're like me and have spent about 70-80% of your time in Monster Hunter as a group with friends, then you'll want to play online which is plauged by awful frame drops down to single digits in the right scenarios. That's also if you have the patients some nights to actually stay on hunting with friends due to consistent server errors. The server errors are unfortunately, not consistent. They come and go and you spend a decent amount of time remaking rooms just so players can stay together.

With all that out of the way, I would still recommend this game to most players. With more tweaking to settings and downgrading the image quality you can get a locked 60 pretty easily or with a few minor tweaks you can get a pretty easy locked 30. Both of those configurations will look better than the PS4/PS4 Pro and with a locked Frame Rate you don't have the serious issues with frame timing that the PS4/Xbox platforms have. If you also play durring low population times then you rarely ever see a disconnect from the server and you can really enjoy what this game offers.

Other than that, I will say that Monster Hunter is an amazing franchise. Outside of the first title, every generation of this game has really moved the formula forward a pretty large step and always gives you satisfying combat that always rewards skilled play; even when the rng doesn't seem to be in your favor. World still isn't that "perfect" Monster Hunter experience past hunters are looking for but it's gotten very close. With the frequent free updates to the game in both monsters, events, armor / weapons, and cosmetics it really felt alive on the PS4 with the PC release having an accelerated content schedule to catch up to the PS4. Capcom has also acknowledged some of the faults of the PC port and has planned some fixes. Hopefully they can really revamp the port into a proper state that runs much better than it does.

It's with a very cautious recommendation that I say to pickup and play this game. You can currently buy the MGS5 bundle (Ground Zeroes & The Phantom Pain) for $60 USD, which may seem like a lot since the games have been out for awhile, but after a near completion run on PS4 (60 hrs) and then another 5 hours or so playing the (excellent) PC release, I really can say this game has the sheer amount of content to justify the price.

With that said; unfortunately Konami is Konami, and Konami is the worst. The game has a rushed, and rather poor ending. We'll never get anything to fix, resolve, or even continue this story as Kojima was basically forced out of the company. Still, this is basically the perfection of the excellent Metal Gear Solid gameplay formula.

Be ready for that story to disappoint you, but also playing for another 10-15 hours just doing the mini / challenge missions.

Starcraft II: Visual Novel is definitely an interesting tale of a game. I can say first and foremost that it achieves what it set out to do; inform people about just how rough the eSports scene can be. Before anyone get's scared by this game being too heavy about eSports or Starcraft, don't be. It has an excellent glossary to help you with terms being used. As well as a cute, voice acted intro by Day[9] (a popular Streamer & Starcraft II commentator.) On the other hand, if you're a big Starcraft eSports fan, then you'll instantly recognize some players & personalities which are homages to other popular figures from the eSports scene. As well as some call backs to old strategies that were once viable in the competitive scene. Unfortunately this game doesn't have any branching paths, and choice isn't too much of a factor with a very short story. Simply talking and listening to your team's advice can get you the "good" ending without having any real prior knowledge of Starcraft. This game is also built on Ren'Py so you can litterally run it on just about anything.

Pros:
* Solid Story
* Excellent Glossary for Terms
* Enjoyable and well written characters
* Great intro movie for players unfamiliar with Starcraft

Cons
* Very short, 2 hours at most.
* No Branching pathes (just success or fail states.)

Other Thoughts
* Not fully voice acted
* Gender choice available but not terribly relevant to the story.

Orcs Must Die is one of the best Tower Defense games, I've played, to date. Being a huge fan of MOBA (ARTS) & Tower Defense games; I looked at Orcs Must Die with some glittering hope. The combat looked good, the adventure seemed fun, and everything seemed to work together.....

Boy was I dissapointed when I learned that I bought Dungeon Defenders first. Not that Dungeon Defenders was bad, or even not on par with this game; they're just two different experiences. DD is a multi-player TD game designed to challenge you in a completely different fashion.

On the other hand, Orcs Must Die is a single player game challenging you to work within game mechanics and limitations of resources to build the best killling machine you can. It does this with ease for that matter.

The combat is viceral, allowing you to "feel" every kill. The sword based combat could have been more refined, but each time a trap goes off, or you hit someone, you know you did and you just want that action to happen more

Asteroids Meets Acid; Beat Hazzard is just as the name says, you fight with your beats in a very hazzardous world. All of your music becomes your greatest ally and your greatest enemy as each "round" is generated specifically to the tune of your music with beats creating more powerful blasts for your ship to blow away to the enemies with.

This is an incredibly challenging game once you turn the dificulty up, as well as a very pretty game. It also features a "stylized" mode which you can just watch the game do it's thing to the tune of your music.

right now the only downside is that you have to pay for iTunes media support, as well as not having the option to create a playlist and play to the whole playlist without interuption.

Funny, WIty, and a general good time for $5.

Plays easy on low end systems, and is a solid poker experience.
