Good stuff buried under the pile of shame, that I immediately installed after seeing a video of the tutorial level. That humour is right up my alley.

Came for the laughs. Stayed for the challenge.

Absolutely no depth to this game. Visually unappealing. Left/right/both/nothing, yawn. At most it could serve to hone your concentration a little, but that's really about it. Why there aren't any power-ups or penalties to spice things up a bit, to at the very least make it more appealing/worthwhile to try and reach a higher score? Or, change the music every 50-odd levels or so, change background colors, etc? But listening to this annoying 10-second looping track for minutes on end goes to show how little love and thought has gone into this. I wonder how could this be anything else than boring as heck on mobile as well, but at least it's free there... Oh and don't bother with the multiplayer cheevs, because matchmaking? 404 not found.

I last played this game about 6 years ago, and I still have the fondest of memories of it. Clever puzzles combined with intriguing philosophical questions, nothing quite left such a long-lasting impression on me since.
I can't wait to rediscover its quirks when I get around to playing it sometime in the near future.

Going by the philosophical excursions of this game and the antagonistic AI, it feels like it was trying to follow into the footsteps of the Talos Principle and Portal 2 which is already a tall order, however it really fell short of that ambition. The puzzles were way too simple and short, even the optional ones. Unlike in Talos or Portal the tests basically served no purpose to the story; trying to shoehorn them into the plot might have been a huge limiting factor. It certainly had the potential for more challenging puzzles, and other secrets that could have been hidden in or behind the many objects that you could pick up and turn around (though when I repeatedly fell through the map in an elevator stage, I could read some kind of red message "put in the actual half lifts" from below - does that count as an easter egg?)...

Nevertheless, all in all I did enjoy this fun and short game, which can be completed 100% within 4-6 hours. Best to buy it on sale or in a bundle, else I can imagine some may end up slightly disappointed.

An incredibly fun co-op experience that's being upvalued tenfold by the wonderful narration by Will Stamper.

Best language learning software ever. Learn to read and speak Russian, Portuguese and Spanish in no time, at no additional costs!

Mind the side effects: may cause severe irritations, sudden friend loss, sunlight deficiency, broken keyboards followed by internal/external bleedings and/or in some extreme cases, substantial brain damage.

This is one of those games that's right up my alley. Cute little puzzler with no instructions that relies solely on your capacity to pick up visual and logical clues to solve the challenges. ...Allright, there's always the F1 key to give you a small hint, but the game rarely is too difficult as to require you to use it (plus you will miss out on an achievement as well... you wouldn't want to do that..)

There might be a bit too much saving for my tastes, so that I always knew when I'd done something right. So subjectively, I never had a hard time with the puzzles, but solving them still felt rewarding. I somehow expected a little more out of the latter parts of the game, but the difficulty never really ramped up. I would have liked more physics-based puzzles, for instance. Maybe that is because of the overly simplistic game mechanic (only 1 action throughout), which limits the possibilities of interacting with the environment? I don't know.

But then I think that it's allright, because I gained the impression that the game places more emphasis on the great atmosphere created by the setting and music than on the actual puzzle challenges. Stunning visuals and good effects, I like. I had a great time indeed from the get-go, which isn't necessarily self-evident with such a premise. I did therefore hope to get a lot out of it, but my first playthrough took me a bit over 4 hours, and the second one only about half an hour to get all the leftover achievements. Which somewhat is a shame, since I think this game has super potential.

All in all, a great but short experience with little to no challenge.

A brilliant puzzler that will mess with your head every now and again, but once you understand the underlying mechanics it is mighty fun. I loved every second of it and I can only recommend it to anyone who wants some thinking challenge.

So, I thought I should give this game a go, since I thought it would be quite short. Well, it wasn't. Actually took me quite a few hours to clear it, although I wanted to 100% it more or less.

I liked this game a lot, for various reasons. For one, you're taking the role of a little anti-virus software agent that is sent on a mission to rid the host computer of a malicious worm/virus, which is an incredibly interesting premise. As you float along the corridors and tubes of your beloved PC, you find e-mails scattered all over the place that will slowly but surely unveil the bigger picture behind this attack. Major sympathy points for the cheeky web browser Qat that can't be fed enough cookies. I love how the characters build up and change throughout the story, obviously affected by the virus.

Gameplay-wise, well a word of warning here: the steering takes a little getting used to, especially since the first few minutes will most certainly give you some kind of motion sickness. Once you get the hang of maneuvering your little ship though, you'll start enjoying hunting those evil corruptions. The difficulty curve stays steady throughout, bar the last fight which took some trial and error but it was at least a good challenge. Progression is really tough going though. Many passages seemed a bit too stretched and the fighting very repetitive at times - omniscan a certain area, find out where the intruders are, take them out one by one, rinse repeat. But it's fun, you do have a bit of choice with six weapons and several skills that you can tune to your liking. The music is good, could have used a bit more variety though.

All in all, this is a cute game worth playing. Especially computer nerds will definitely like wandering around the OS.

I really really like eversion. It just seemed such an innocuous and cute little platformer in the beginning that reminded me of Mario on LSD with the bright and colourful atmosphere. Deceivingly easy too. However, that quickly changed as I progressed through the levels which got surprisingly harder with every new layer of dimension being added to my game. Not only does the theme change to a more darker and threatening ambience, but it also modifies the environment and the difficulty with it. Clouds materialise then disappear, enemies become slower, then faster, and even your innocent little flower from layer 1 will soon become a thorny bush that will make you blow up by touching it.

I found the themes to be really creepy. I think that is what made the biggest impression on me, the music that gradually became more chaotic, the darker colour palettes, the vast amounts of hemoglobin, the hands, etc... Level 6 just gets your adrenaline going, though after the 10th death you kinda start getting used to it. I'm not that good at platformers, yet I wanted to 100% this one. So it did take me a couple hours to get everything, and it was indeed a nice challenge without being SMB-"suicidal", as Monukai (http://steamcommunity.com/id/Monukai/recommended/33680/) put it.

The only thing I'd criticise this game for would be its short length (that's what she said). Also, I felt that the first few dimensions were a bit underrepresented in the later levels. Basically what I'm saying is, eversion certainly has a LOT of potential. I could imagine trickier and more complex levels being made with a bit of creativity which I unfortunately don't have.

Anyhow, I fully endorse the thought that eversion is well worth the few quid (though mine was a bundle buy #cheapskate). I wouldn't mind seeing a sequel of this 'cute' little gem, so please, anyone?
