I understood maybe half of what happened, it's a little Lynchian tbh. But that's not a negative, I thought it was cool.
At its core it's an isometric Resident Evil in an East German retrofuture. This world and its lore has a lot of potential and it makes me hope they'll use it in future games.

Some of the most engrossing fun I've had in a zombie survival sim, ever. And it gets bigger and better every update.

I've played Cataclysm since 2017 or earlier, I don't have an exact date, but I struggle to count the hundreds of hours I've sank into this game, and I still keep learning.
As a roguelike, you can't expect to live longer than a day or so in your first few characters, so be ready to internalize the mantra "Losing is fun". But after learning hard to learn lessons for many many lives, you just might be able to reach the mid-game, secure a base, repair a car, get some mutations, guns, or bionics...
Murdermobile nomad is a great way to play but the devs have recently added stationary appliances which makes it feasible to soup up a stationary base as well. One of my recent characters did just this with an abandoned LMOE shelter. I started installing solar panels above ground, leading an extension cord down into the shelter under earth, to a battery bank, installing an oven, fridge, lights, even a workshop with tools and heavy machinery I looted from nearby industry. And I had a van to haul loot back to base with.

You can also live your wildest innawoods fantasies with no running water or power. Your call.

Fighting enemies is still extremely risky if you don't have a gun though. One little mistake can cost you many hours. All part of the fun of course. Because losing is fun.

There's a lot of pretty tilesets shipped with the game, you're bound to find one you like, although my brain is locked into stock ASCII after so many years of playing it that way. "I don't even see the code. All I see is blonde, brunette, redhead." Game also comes with a lot of different mods to customize your play experience as well, and an impressive granularity to the settings. Damn near everything can be tweaked.

All in all I can't sing its praises highly enough. So much fun. I couldn't believe something that gave me so much enjoyment has been free all this time. So buying it on Steam to toss the devs a fair buck was a no-brainer.

The Hitman formula polished to a mirror sheen, as sharp as it's ever been. The king of social stealth and one of the only remaining true stealth games. It's still forced online though, no progression offline, keep in mind, but you can download third party server emulator Peacock.

Persona is a JRPG icon, and it's for good reason. Kids saving the world is always a hoot, but mix in a visual novel and sprinkle in some dating sim and you have a winning combination.

Balancing the mundane civilian life with the fantastical secret life heightens both aspects. The game is long, taking place over the course of a year, and with the game incentivizing building relationships with the cast of characters, you feel you truly get to know them as people, and grow closer to them, perhaps even find love.

I'm a 26 year old man, and for me it was a comfort to dream back to my teens, and wonder what it would be like to be in a place like Inaba for a year, with my friends.

After the many hours you've spent together, it hurts to say goodbye, even to a place that doesn't actually exist, and people that don't actually exist. I think that's the highest grade my heart can give a piece of work.

10/10

Also Chie is best girl.
Please give us Persona 3 now Atlus.

It's Hitman 2016 but bigger and better than before. Each level is an absolute knockout, huge and diverse. There was an odd level in the previous game that wasn't as good as the others but I feel like in Hitman 2 there isn't a level I dislike.
Only thing I want is more fancy suit options. Two expansions planned for 2019, can't wait!

Ahh, No Man's Sky. Two concepts come to mind; the danger of the hype train, and growing pains.

The game doesn't exactly deliver on all the promises that were made during pre-release. All of these inflated ideas weren't entirely the fault of the developer, although Sean Murray would've been wise in reigning in his promises when he was probed.
With that said, even though the game doesn't deliver fully right now, it's damn well getting there.
Hello Games should definitely be commended. They could have cut their losses and left the game broken as-is and moved onto other things, or closed down or whatever. But they didn't. They doubled down their efforts and have, over time, worked on and polished their rough gemstone into something that's starting to look like proper jewelry.

The gameplay loop is something resembling Minecraft, and with that in mind it shares a lot of the same problems. You craft stuff so you can go places and craft more stuff. That's the game. If you like Minecraft for these reasons you'll have a lot to like in this game, too. On the contrary, if you don't like Minecraft for those reasons, you won't like this title.

Hello Games have teased their newest big update coming out in Summer of 2018 entitled NEXT, the rumor mill says it will introduce up to 4 player co-op multiplayer, which is another promise that will be, albeit quite late, delivered on.

With all this said, and all these improvements in mind, is the game worth 60€?
I hesitate to say yes. As someone who waited to buy the game until the Atlas Rising update, I have had a lot of fun in this game, but for the level of depth and enjoyment it has right now I would rank it a 30€ title.

We'll see what happens when the NEXT update comes out. But, by then, the game will have been out for 2 years. A price drop is to be expected by that time.

This game has all the makings of a great Final Fantasy title. Questing in an open world, youths saving the world. But there's a very important difference - this is the best "Roadtrip With The Boys" simulator you'll ever find. You could justify buying the game because of that outright.

It was really cool, despite being about 30 minutes long.
The sad thing is it makes you thirsty for more Half-Life. And we all know that's not coming.

Early Access Review
It's alright. You sit in a tower and snipe robots. Not much more to it really...
Gets old after 15 minutes or so. Truth be told, all the sniping I do these days is in Hot Dogs, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, which is a bit of a better experience because you can balance the rifle with your left hand, in this game you only hold it in your right. Note: This may or may not reflect how the game is today because I last played it a long time ago.

A great testament to the limitless possibilities of VR gaming. A stroke of genius to allow for the desktop to be used as well in a multi-player capacity. Had a lot of fun with this one in local coop.
