Some of the most satisfying gameplay I've ever experienced. Visually and atmospherically stunning.

Proof that physics is THE most important element.

Even for free I can't be arsed, it looks worse than previous Battlefield and still runs worse, if it was smooth I might have a chance of being able to get a few kills before the lag and latency ruins it for me.

It's rare to find lewd games that are actually decent. Haydee reminds me of the classic Tomb Raider's in the sense of getting completely lost as you enter a maze of corridors, full of trial and error, and you wonder just what direction you should be tackling each situation in. You're gonna die a lot but I guess that is the intention - you're gonna lose progress as save rooms are not common. You're gonna reload and think I'll tackle that situation differently so I get through it without using a medkit or bullets. It has that Resident Evil resource management vibe as ammo is limited and each enemy you'll be thinking can I avoid killing him to save ammo. I must have died about 5 times just trying to get the first weapon - then I realised how I was doing things in the wrong order so started a new game - if you like this kinda stuff then you'll enjoy this.

There seems to be less platforming than the original Haydee, replaced by more action and enemies. This is a little disappointing as I enjoyed the platforming puzzles. The environments have been improved and there are lewd items like versions of AAA game posters and magazines littered around. My favourite being 'Half-Wife 3'.

As a fan of thicc women the main protagonist is great, even better when the modders get to work - hopefully a 2B mod won't be far away. You can lie her down and put her into some positions - not sure if there is a gameplay reason for this but fun all the same.

People are complaining a lot about this game because it doesn't live up to their expectations of the original, which is fair enough, but we are lucky to even get such high quality RE2 and RE3 remakes which didn't seem like a possibility a few years ago. Sure it doesn't have the wow factor of RE2R because we were introduced to a new engine, everything was shiny and fresh, this is just 'more of the same' and much like the original RE2 and RE3, the latter is more of an action-extension of RE2 where you revisit locations and characters.

The new Jill is fantastic and not some ugly feminist as some people seem to be describing. She's had the Lara treatment of being made believable to her environment, i.e, jeans instead of a skirt. I'm sure mods already exist to put her in lewd attire so this seems like a pointless argument again. Her attitude and banter with Carlos is decent.

You might consider Nemesis to be less trilling than Mr X as he mostly chases you in small segments, scripted events and from point A to point B, but there are still a lot of tense moments with him and a variety of boss battles as he evolves.

Visually the game is as stunning as ever, although it seems to lack some physics properties that were in RE2, zombies don't seem to flop around as much as they fall/die, I'm wondering if this is something in-engine that modders can turn back on. Perhaps it was toned down for performance reasons.

The real negatives compared to RE2 are that it lacks a lengthy open-ended section like RPD. This is far more liner, you do have a few locations like the hospital that are slightly more branching but it's not half of what the RPD experience was. It does have some cool moments where it ties up things that happen in RE2, you see how certain things got to be how they are in RE2, I like how it links those aspects together.

It might be pricey because it's probably 10 hours of content (including cut-scenes, reading notes and diaries etc) so if you can get it for 20-30% off then you've probably hit a decent value as it does include an online 4vs1 mode if you're into that and it will surely come with free DLC stories again in near future.

40 hours in and I've finally left Fort Joy and reached the mainland. Says it all really. I thought I was quite far in but turns out I've just scratched the surface. The depth is awesome, this is really the first game of this specific genre I have played, and I'm glad I took the risk on it. Incredibly immersing enviroments, music, story and characters. You really feel part of this world. Combat is very deep and I actually restarted the game twice before I was happy enough with my build and companions. Takes a bit of time if you are new to this series to get used to how classes and roles work, and how you should be building your team, but once you get the hang of it, it's fairly straightforward. The only negative I felt was that the journal gave a lack of direction on quests and objectives in general, but as soon as you stop treating them like quests and more like parts of a dynamic story it doesn't really matter. You can fail some, or do things wrong and that's okay it's part of your story. Often doing the wrong thing can get you some nice loot or information that helps you in some other way. Love it.

This brings back so many good memories, back when I was an innocent 5 year old child this was one of my favourite games. It was incredible at the time.

AMIGA best console.

Any game where you can blow up your character's skirt and let her walk around in a little thong is a worthy candidate for GOTY.

I discovered this game because of the lewd character, but it's actually got a lot to offer. It's very unforgiving, you will die and restart a lot, but every time you'll get better and more knowledgeable about the mechanics and the rooms you're working through. The game tells you nothing and guides you nowhere. You'll have to work everything out for yourself including the puzzles. Easy to get confused pressing a bunch of buttons and having no idea what in the environment they have changed. The save system reminds me of Tomb Raider 1 or Resident Evil 1, you have limited supply so only use them when you've progressed a fair distance. You could argue it's clunky but the controls and character movements (jump, drop, shimmy etc) are quite systematic and once you master them you'll be fine. The art style is nice, the game looks decent, as good as Mirrors Edge in some rooms. I play at 2560x1440 max settings with SSAO on, performance is good, no crashes are glitches. No real negatives discovered so far, maybe a little too hard if you add up the lack of saves, ammo, health and harsh nature of the gameplay.

If you're on the fence this is definitely worth picking up in a sale or something.
