So, this is my first completed playthrough, and I must say I had a good time. Great locations, interesting land exploration as well and plenty of biomes to discover and have fun in.
My first Subnautica playthrough was 72 hours, because I just had to take it all in a little at a time. This game didn't scare me as much, which is unsurprising. If you've seen one leviathan, you've seen the all one might say. The leviathans at the deepest level got on my nerves more than it scared me. My trusty seatruck just wasn't fast enough, and thus I had to repair it after every attack.
The negative of this game is that you being able to trundle about all over the map pretty quickly means some bits might not make sense as you complete them out of order. A shame, but hardly anything got twisted for me thankfully. It's nice to get a connection to the first game with one particular character showing up. Be sure to visit that character again once you get some information from that character. It's worth it.

It's nice to have an actual character to interact with in addition to all the voice memos you get just as you did in the first game.
I am very much looking forward to the next game. I hope they're able to present something fresh that builds on the foundation these two games have laid. Subnautica was one of a kind IMHO. Everyone has their stories about it, which is a hallmark of a good game. And even Yahtzee liked it, a lot. I'll wait for the full release before I play it, though I'll buy it as soon as it shows up on Steam, Early access or not. They're earned it.

Plays well in to your fears. Movement is a bit janky when you try to jump on to platforms. Will keep trying.

Early Access Review
Wow. Thought I'd give this game a go tonight. I'm a huge fan of Subnautica, and building is fun in general for me in games.

And then it was five hours later. I do wonder what'll happen when I have more than an evening of time. I'll probably get lost in this game for hours at a time. Just like I did today on my first play session.

Just completed the game.

It was a lot of fun, a good amount of challenge, good 3rd person combat and interesting puzzles to solve. That's what I got out of the game. It was well worth my time, and I look forward to playing the second game now, perhaps even the third, who knows :) .

Cast was good to ok for me. The main lady had an accent I don't hear very often at all, being a native English speaker. That did throw me off a bit. It seems they brought the intensity down a bit from what it could have been. Penny Dreadfull-level darkness this was not. Lara Croft seemed a bit too soft overall in her tone. I'll be playing the second game soon, so hopefully that will have improved, her being the central character and vessel for the player.

The drama didn't quite grip me though the opening parts were quite intense. I felt more for the main characters in other game stories, but it was fine to drive the story along and keep the intesity at the level it needed to be at.

Good game. Looking forward to the next game which should be an even more refined experience.

I bought this over 18 months ago due to encouraging reports about the game concept and the developers. By all accounts they kept their promises and continue to improve the game even now. I played a few short games at first, but then decided to hang back and wait for the game to be released in full before I dove in.

It was worth the wait.

This exploration and survival game is riveting and damn scary. There's plenty to explore and marvel at. The story pushes you in all directions and I've only seen some stuff up to 200-300 meters depth so far. Grud knows what else I'll find.

Enjoy exploration ? Overcoming obstacles small and really large ? Surprises ? Want to conquer your fear of the unkown ?
Grab this game now !

-edit-
Completed the game and am now messing around in the creative mode. It was a satisfying conclusion to the story and the extensive exploration of the environment(you really needed to!).

I recommend this game completely. Great value, lots to discover. Want a tip for starters ? Use your knife on things that are not fish.

I do wonder what they'll do to this game next. I found a couple of blueprints in the creative mode that I could not locate in the survival mode.

Great game for a few sessions inbetween, or full on losing yourself when you find that perfect map for close tunnel flights and mad dives.

Imagine Just Cause 3's wingsuit in challenging environments.

Make you wish it had some smooth mountain courses, though these existing environments are a lot of fun. I've already discovered a few great maps.

A well optimized, good looking stealth or action game with a decent story, characters you're likely to care about here and there and great locations to play in. The characters don't emote much on their faces, but that didn't stop me from having a lot of fun with this game.

Since this game is often on sale, get it WITH the DLC (Game of the Year edition or something similar). It's good and a lot of fun to play. In fact, if you're looking at Dishonered 2, I encourage you to play Dishonered 1's DLC.

This game is fun, a good challenge with lots of flexibility in how the player wants to complete it. I certainly had fun doing a no kills/no detection run.

Defnintely worth buying.

Played on a 6700K CPU, GTX 1070 and 32 GB RAM(it only requires 8 GB). I think it should be mandatory to at least mention the graphics card with your review.

A good game with a lot of possible ways to play. There are plenty of positive things to say about it, and some negatives.

Anyone who has played the first Dishonered, will enjoy the game, if they can run it. I played this on a GTX1070, so in no way is my experience a benchmark for more than myself. Check more reviews before commiting to this game if it runs well on your system.

The story is interesting and unfolds in some good ways, though it begins somewhat abruptly. The first games (good) ending is tossed aside it seems, though that was ambiguous enough to have this fit in.

-edit-
If you can, play the DLC from Dishonered 1 first. It features at least one of the important characters from this game.

The characters are barely established. The villain is reasonably well defined and developed though she does not actually do much during the game, aside from the beginning and ending. The ending is the only part of the game where you interact with her or rather fight her. She gets a backstory that's actually longer and more fleshed out than that of Emily. I've only played Emily so far, so perhaps Corvo gets some more backstory as well. I hope so. He didn't say a word in the first game, and I really like Steven Russel, ever since his excellent performance in the first two Thief games(didn't play the third yet).

Gameplay
As good as in the first game. Pick your path. You can even non-lethally take down folks that are fighting you, which is a big bonus for me. I played Dishonered without ever getting noticed or killing any characters. That is much harder to do in Dishonered 2. The locations are quite different from one another, though they leave less of an impression than the first game did. It did not lessen the fun I had. You have to think fairly quickly in some spots. Use the quicksave/load (F5/F9) to experiement :) .

Graphics
The game is a lot more detailed in its environments. That's about all I noticed. The mechanical soldiers are the most detailed characters, but it made little difference to the gameplay.

Sound
Mostly great. Environments are immersive, effects spot on nasty when they need to be and dialogue performances are good. Mixing(volume and sound of stuff) was mostly good, but the dialogue was nowhere near as smooth as in the first game. Quite a few of the voices during the game are difficult to locate. Sometimes mumbles are far too loud. I will presume this game was published too early and there remained some work to be done. Overall, it's great with some odd stuff here and there.

Voice performances in the English version was good, but the sound could have been smoother. The first game did a better basic job.

Now the real negatives.

In the first game the story was simple. Get the bad guys, get the girl. The good ending was very satisfying to me.

The story of this games ending was good IMHO, but the execution in the game was mediocre. I managed to get the low chaos, non-lethal ending. The ending was short. The payoff was nowhere near as good as the first games low chaos ending. I felt cheated.

"This is it ?!!! Some quick story snippets ? You just revive your father? How the frack did she do that ?"

This happens to her, this happens to him, this happens to you. It all went by so fast, and to be honest I after going through those well designed environments, this felt CHEAP.

So let me say it. The game wasn't finished. If this was a movie, this would be a direct to bargain bin release just for the story. And that's a real shame, because it promised to be a lot more.

Overall. Good gameplay, interesting world, characters rather weak compared to the villain which doesn't have much to do in the game, lots of room for experimentation, needs a good PC from what I'm reading, but a weak ending that felt rushed.

Also, why was the silky smooth voice of the Outsider replaced with a new actor ? The new actor isn't bad, he's just the opposite of smooth and calm voice of the previous actor. It's not his fault.

Rosario Dawson is a good actress, but her character should have had much more pain and misery in her voice.

If for a single second any of the performances have to rely on the player knowing the previous game or even worse, the DLC expansions, it's a definite failure in how the story is told. This does happen here. I only know the title of the DLC, and it came up here and there(Brigmore Witches). Absolute failure in story telling. Unfinished.

PIck this up in a sale. I did, because I don't expect them to fix the story.

A class-based team FPS.

Style, substance, high skill ceilings, team play required. Nine classes. Something for everyone.

Want to shoot stuff ? Lots of classes do that.
Want to move fast ? Scout.
Want to be sneaky and kill folks from behind with one stab? Spy.
Want to heal people and be a deciding factor in a game ? Medic.
Want to build deadly guns and support stuff ? Engineer.

This game is still supported by its maker after 10(!!!) years. In fact, they did take their time with the latest update but it was a pretty significant one that came out in Autumn 2017.

Get a microphone, watch some Youtube videos on the classes, and jump in to the action.

It has hats too, which you can earn, buy or get in loot crates(not the best time to mention those). But you never have to pay to play, or pay to win. It's a level playing field, where progression is defined by your skill.

You do earn random weapon drops(quite a lot actually), but they're always side-grades. Some very rare straight upgrades exist, but they're very small and usually concern meele weapons.

Highly recommended, but watch some videos on how to play first.
