The game is hard... Hard... But once you get the hang of it, which I haven't done yet, it seems fun... But hard.

It's okay... Feels good but is very limited. If I paid money for it I'd be mad. It could use more gamemodes. DOM and CTF would work. Better gun choices.. At least a few more maps... I will play again. But it is lacking.

MW2019 but worse. Slower. I liked MW2019 a lot. This is meh...

For what it is, it's bad. Surely not my first choice... The maps are bad. Some of the worse maps I've seen... The game runs poorly, even on good PCs. The guns are okay. Highly overrated and a poor milsim.

If EFT had a baby with battlefield and dropped it on it's head, you'd have WW3.

This game is far from finished. There are too many problems. The sound is bad or broken. The movement feels like I am running fully geared, but also in water.

This BF2042 is broken and unfinished? This is worse.

However, I don't hate the style idea behind it. It just doesn't feel right. I really like the map layouts. But the game doesn't look good. I feel like I am playing a game from 2010, not 2022.

IMO, if this is the kind of game you think you'd like, wait for it to be free. All games seem to be in a never ending beta. This one will be too. People hyping this game at this point are lying to you or themselves. I see a lot of hope for this game, but I also see it for the countless others that will never be finished. I tried to refund so my mate didn't waste his money gifting it to me.

update: Game is better with the new update, but broken for many and still not solid. People claiming great things are cultist fanboys. Yes, you can have fun. It's not a 100% crap. But it is far from finished and being what I would call a solid game. Don't listen to the fools. I am right.

Abandoned and unfinished... Shame on the devs. And how do you lose the MP?

Updated review: After about 2 years I can say the game is finished... It doesn't have the best of anything, but overall a solid game. For $10-$25 it is worth it to play until the next BF, if you love BF... BF3 is the overall best BF game for when it came out... BF2042 at this point might be top 5 for me. BF3, BFH, BF2, BF4( broken too long and worse maps than BF3), BF2042... BF2042 could have been higher, I really love the style and idea behind the gameplay, but they failed at too much for too long, and while it is solid, it could have been so much better.

In all truth, the game isn't as bad as the reviews. Yes, the game is buggy and lacking. They gave us a unfinished game and sold it as if it was finished. For that, they earned all these bad reviews. They did it to themselves and the community is tired of it. I will keep playing with my community while waiting for them to fix this crap and hope they fix it soon. But they earned all this hate, even if it isn't as bad as people say. EA is a evil company. and they F-ed us again.

11/25/20 update helped a little.

Still need voice coms. change teams/squads, 4 maps. 10 guns. full xp/unlocks in portal.

After their joke of a update yesterday, I lost hope. They didn't even give us dom as a game mode. They basically gave us nothing. The scoreboard is messed up and you can't view it at the end of the game.

DICE is useless. They robbed us with this unfinished game.

From the 4.0 update.... It's now in beta. It was in alpha. Not bad... Maps still need map. But about 50% of the things I hated are fixed. I recommend it if it's on sale.

Season 1 was nice... The game is still lacking.. Everything is so slow.. If bf2042 came out right now, We'd say it's ok, it's good. Not great. BF2042 should have been delayed a full year. But it's ok now. Get it on 50% off.

The update was good and bad. Some new bugs. Map edits made the map 100% better.

It's a good game. I don't play it much really, but you know.
