Surprisingly good gameplay. Last chapter vs previous on hard with melee is definitely a test of what you've learned through the game. Fire 2x4 and stick are OP.

Did a back flip on an ATV. Didn't lose my shoe while doing it. Runs well on my below-minimum-requirements GPU. 10/10.

Can't wait for more achievements :D

I play this too much. I recommend for 1000's of hours of rage playing SSFHC(R).

Want cheaters? Want endless DLC? Want skins? Want a fleshlight?

This game offers you 3/4!

The grind for achievement-whoring is rough, but cheaters will help you get there faster. Actually fun game with legit players, just don't expect allstar gameplay from plebs.

Update 2022:

5 years later still grinding infamy. Getting really good at robbing diamonds from some store.

Ranks on the top of frustrating games. For some good, and some bad reasons. I'll provide only the main reasons.

TL;DR version: Enjoyable stealth game if played on 'normal'. Aggravating (challenging) game on expert/purist (good luck without prior gameplay experience or guides - still doable, but you will get to know levels quite intimately for the number of times you play).

The good:

Very challenging without previous experience. Yea, it was a doozie. Satisfying to have finished the game and there was a reasonable storyline. Lots of quirky characters. Most of which you kill. Yay! Oh, and headshots.

I have never played a Hitman game before and I like playing my games on difficult settings. I did not run purist because that appeared to need some familiarity with the game to play. However, so did Expert. I am glad I played Expert and not Purist. I found it difficult to catch on to what 'deaths' could be setup, what mechanics to use and how they could be used. This isn't necessarily bad... Except that you will probably miss a lot of cool setup deaths such as an individual peeing on a wire you have exposed that leads to their electrocuted demise. It was not intuitive that these types of kills could be done. Decent story. I cursed many times as I was caught in many awkward situations. Also, I did not realize you could upgrade weapons until I finished the game. To have more freedom to 'enjoy' these tidbits in the game I recommend that you play on Normal unless you want the Absolution achievement, then play on Hard,

Headshots.. Headshots are rewarding and make you feel good. 99.9% of occasions 1 headshot = 1 kill. So for those of you who have good accuracy and hate games like GOW for the reason that no person/monster should take a sniper round to the noodle and survive, this game is for you.

The bad:

Melee, lack of checkpoints for higher difficulties, some complete BS detection.

Melee has got to be the most frustrating aspect in the higher difficulties (replaying normal for achievements, melee is a joke because it is so easy in comparison). I did not know for the longest time, until rage level exceeded maximum and I looked up a guide that you are better off watching the animations to know what buttons to press than to actually wait for the QTE event (which gave you a window of what seemed to be less than a second and required inhuman reaction times). FYI: 'Space' if they are attacking you; 'Q' for first hit; 'W' if 47 knocks them in the face backwards; 'E' if 47 knocks them towards the ground.

Checkpoints... Oh dear. Having no familiarity with this game and playing it on Expert lead to a long time of trial and error trying to figure out how the hell to beat some levels. Admittedly I looked up a guide in two circumstances: One of the first levels (can't remember which), and the courthouse. Other than that, no guides... But I can see why people would instantly go to guides after 3...4...10.. 20 failed attempts at a level haha.

Detection.. Silenced weapons are not so silent. I always loved how shooting a target with a silenced weapon would result in being spotted first, then being awarded for the kill (the game awards score based on activity and so it shows, in order, the events that occur and the points associated). Albeit, the circumstances in which I was shooting a silenced weapon (from afar) and being detected were somewhat reasonable, but annoying all the same. So expect to be detected frequenly and die frequently if you play higher difficulties. Especially under circusmtances of choking a guy out only for one of the teammates to 'happen' to turn around and see you. I felt like the game was just trolling me for the number of times people turned around for no reason, not because I made noise, but just because this is Hitman and you need to be demoralized a few times.

There were also many instances where throwing something to distract an individual never worked. The NPC refused to move at all. So you were forced to find some way arouund these stonewall NPCs. On most occasions I emptied a clip into them out of frustration and had to restart the level because A) No checkpoints in expert, and B) I would be detected even if my weapon was silenced.

Alas, time to finish the achievements and move on... Probably never to play this game again.

Buy this when it's cheap and only play Trauma mode. HAHAHAHA. It's easy after the third level, but beating the first three is insane.
