A cozy platformer.

Cute spiders, friendly ants and royalist bees intent upon their QUEST! Falling onto spikes puts you back in a nearby safe spot. There's a dedicated dance button. This game about a peacock spider does not want to hurt you.

An excellent sequel that iterates on nearly every system from Xcom: Enemy Unknown. Contains both the desperate struggle to survive against a superior foe and soldiers with the ability to make a mockery of enemy tactics. Sometimes in the same mission!

Sieze the means of magical production. Your familiar needs you, you don't need it! Organize in a turn-based way!

Hades is a masterpiece; it was fun two minutes after launching, and is fun forty hours in. The gameplay loop rewards you in both power and narrative when you fail and when you succeed.

Left 4 Cops is still the most fun four-person-coop game I have played. New updates are somewhat hardcore but the core gameplay of swatting cop-shaped flies while you try to accomplish stuff remains entertaining.

A remarkably competent port.

Small RPG with high levels of childlike insisitence that they know everything. Pteranodons are good at fighting monsters, but weak against robots, because /obviously/.

Storytelling is weak at the start and the end, but the middle is very entertaining.

This is not Quest for Glory 1. But it sure feels like it. And it was within a minute of getting control that I encountered the first two puns. A worthy successor!
