It's a pretty good and fun game but as is, in this prologue version of the game, it is too short and seemingly way too easy. I died on my first run, being stupid. But then, the two runs after that, I easily made it to the boss with the shotgun and the broadsword.

Great start though, the various weapons are fun, the upgrade system is interesting though damn, I would love to see it fleshed out. More enemies, more bosses and just more interesting ways to change how your weapons work.

So, I used to really like this game and from a technical point of view, it's still a fun game, but the grind has been getting worse and worse and the monetization has become absolutely predatory.

There's two types of premium currency now, and it's tiered in such a way that for many things, you're either just slightly below what you need if you buy the currency, or way over it, pushing you to spend more money, that is absolute ♥♥♥♥.

I have put money into it in the past, and at some point came back to find everything in my inventory gone, but the devs helped out and got me my stuff back, so that was good service at least.

Still, unless you plan to either spend many hours playing it, or spend money, you won't reach anything, it's the definition of "play to win" because you can technically just buy everything you need by using real money.

So yeah, with the grind being so obnoxiously heavy, the new extra currency gating in between and just in general, many ways it pushes you to pay or be limited in some ways... I can't recommend it anymore.

Fun mechanically, otherwise just a very big shame.

Did the tutorial and suddenly, SMASH, tons of things I can spend money on... I'm sorry, but I don't play a game to constantly get reminded I can put money in.

I've put money into idlers before, but those were generally idlers that didn't treat me like a potential cash cow.

Like... If you like flying into things, this is the game for you, flying into you simulator with added mysteries.

That's about it, the mysteries are really good, the flying is really fun, and.... Yeah, let's just go with fun. You can fly into the sun.

It's just a very boring game, make bunches of units, progress, special units can be great, but that means they determine the battle, smaller units are just.... Meh. The campaign is tedious, and I tried it multiple times, but I just can't get interested in it.

Shame, it just doesn't feel like a good WH40K game. I still go back to DOW2 for the last stand mode, this game can't hold me for long, sad sad shame.

It's fun, a little troubled, but I've got many hours in it for the campaigns. There's mods out there like Skalgrim that expand on it. It's just, the game would have benefited a lot from such mods more early, and not, years afterwards, having to figure out ways through the system.

So, a shame, worth it now, really fun, just, with a history.

A fantastic tower defense game. Really, the further you get in, the more you unlock, the more you can tweak and work on getting further and finishing things better.

Your cursor attacks and can do charge attacks and you have various towers (points) that upgrade to do variations of things and also interact with eachother.

Once you get the hang of it, you'll be revisiting old levels in order to better utilize your points or cursor, set up skills for specific challenges, work your way up and up and up, it's extremely gratifying.

The story is also pretty darn neat.

Also, I have way more than 2 hours in this game, I just bought it on steam after recognizing it from ages ago and wondering "Was it actually as good as I remember?"

Yes it was, and yes it is.

Tip: Unlike some tower defence games, this one doesn't often do just a gradual climb of challenge, there might be whole campaigns that work around building you up and giving you lots of resources to build with, working your way through a series of easy challenges in order to face a really tough boss or some such.

Also, it can be hard to 100% everything right from the start, if you're having trouble, lower the difficulty, later on, you'll have more upgrades and you can come back to it!

It's a fantastic game, more tactics than strategy, but the scale of the battles and the way the combay system works leads itself to a lot of fun engagements.

Also has a really fun story, so all around great game with just a couple of missions that are annoyingly troublesome (Stealthy ones) but at the same time, can be overcome using a guide easily!

I highly recommend this game!

It's pretty fun, you stab your friends, everyone cries, you laugh, fun times. It's also cheap, there need to be more cheap ways to stab your friends in the back.

In games, yes, in games. Go play this.

Early Access Review
With a fresh new update, with a lot of tweaks, additions and new content to explore, comes a new updated review as well.

First off, would I recommend this game to people who like idle games? Yes!

But that generally comes with a caveat, a lot of idle games work with a 25-50-75-100 etc formula of upgrades, systematic, you incrementally work your way up and it's very clear.

This game, in its current state, is not always very clear, and it also doesn't work with that system. At times, you can spend a week or more just grinding out the same things, not doing much, eventhough there's options to explore further, if you rush, you're going to spending a lot more time paying for that.

I like it though, the exploration is like, everywhere you go, you get a bit further, and with new updates on the horizon, I am curious to see how it's going to expand!

I've enjoyed this idle game, after a little bit of play, you'll unlock a means to earn offline currency (Stardust) to help you grind for cards which you need for battle.

I've beaten a lot of bosses, but some are just out of reach, looking forward to seeing what beating those may unlock.

There's a bunch of confusion at first if you're new to the game, but there's plenty of help online, in the discussions, on the discord to help you out.

Tips:

Don't rush, going to a new planet can be exciting, but beyond the move, conditions get a lot more rough, the game doesn't warn you about this, but you'll deal with hostile environments that will sap your production efficiency over time if you don't build stuff to counter act it.

Every new planet offers a lot of upgrade possibilities.

So yeah, I recommend this game, the get in price of free is also really nice for a unique experience in a idle game saturated world with the same base mechanics.

This one is different, it can be frustrating and confusing at times, but there's a good core, and I personally, can't help but look forward to what's yet to be released!
