Not a whole lot to say here. I've been into the Half-Life series and its mods since late 1998, where I was playing it in software mode on a Pentium 2. Later, I saved up $100 and bought a Voodoo 3 and was introduced to glorious high frame rates, high resolutions, and filtered textures. I immediately became obsessed with mods like TFC, Counter Strike, and Action Half-Life. A friend and myself ran a TFC clan for about a year, known as DIH (Dogs in Heat). The rest is history...

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! It's unplayable on PC. Mouse aiming AND controller aiming are both worthless. Disabling vsync will only fix the lag. It will not fix the massive deadzone in your aiming controls.

I've beaten all 3 of the Dawn of War 2 games. They are some of the only RTS games I can enjoy, mostly due to the much lower number of units you are tasked to control. I can actually wrap my head around the tactics, whereas your StarCraft or any other just overwhelms me. The amazing graphics, audio, and dynamic combat with full destruction certainly help things.

Get EVE if you have no other games to play ever again. It is truly fascinating, but requires major dedication to a community of peers to enjoy at all. It WILL be your 2nd life. You will need to be a true asset to your corp. Casual players are best left to just playing Freelancer or the X series. It needs to be said that there is no other MMO out there like EVE, and I'd even argue that EVE is one of the only true examples of the genre.
