Maybe a little biased but I have been testing this game for just about 4 years now. It has come an incredibly long way and Stone has created an amazing aircraft simulation game. I absolutely love the game and am happy to see it finally released.

People should know that it will be very difficult at first, but it is also incredibly rewarding to push through the learning curve and get a flying aircraft. The customization it allows is insane. This level of complexity is not for everyone, and you need to know that it will take a lot of effort to learn the editor before diving in.

The flying feels fantastic, it's a great simulation and the aircraft behave the way they should behave realistically. People have made 1:1 replicas that have near identical flight envelopes to their real world counterparts. It's also a ton of fun to explore the procedural world and find new canyons to zoom through, or go for an altitude record and see the curvature of the planet (Earth sized).

Join us on the discord if you're having trouble, we're more than willing to help out new people and hold your hand through your first build, and we're very excited to see what everyone is working on!

This game is a blast and a dream come true for aviation nerds who want to make their own aircraft to see how they would perform. Highly recommend, even with the steep learning curve.

Holy crap get this game
If you have "that one friend" who only plays RTS, he's covered
If you have "that one friend" who only plays FPS, so are they.

Both gameplay loops are fantastic and satisfying. The sound design is amazing: Beautiful music that fits the desert aesthetic of the game perfectly, punchy/meaty weapon sounds that give feedback to the combat, and the sounds the big vehicles make are just perfect. The siege tank sounds absolutely terrifying which is important for your "big bad" megaweapon

This game seeks to answer the question "What if Oil Rigs could fly and went to war with each other"

It answers it VERY well.

A lot of people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the story and the anime cliches, so I'll address that first. You just have to accept going in that it's going to be cheesy. It's going to have characters waxing poetic about the futility of war before getting into their 30 foot robots to do battle. It's going to have caricatures of stereotypes that will make you cringe at times. If that REALLY bothers you, this game probably isn't for you. If you can accept it and just enjoy the schlockiness of it all, dive right in. Also, if you set the VA to Japanese, you'll probably recognize a lot of the actors and actresses from popular animes and other games.

For everyone else, here's what your money gets you: A fully voice acted campaign (Japanese and English), an in-depth character and mech customization system that rivals some RPG's, a meaningful progression system and tons of SOLID mecha gameplay. PVP and PVE online as well to keep things interesting.

The "Arsenel" mecha, as the game calls them, are nimble and deadly, and can be customized with decals, numbers, colors, and every flavor of destructive weapon you can think of. Want to build an air superiority mecha that spews hundreds of missiles in every direction as it rips around the sky? You got it chief. How about a super-heavy, thicc-armor explosive boy? Absolutely. This game lets you approach each mission however you want.

The campaign is satisfying and will teach you how to progress in the game, but the replayability comes with the multiplayer. It's sometimes tough to find a lobby because this game doesn't have a ton of people playing, but the co-op maps and boss fights are so much fun, and the rewards carry over to your campaign mecha (and vice versa). Your actual character plays a role besides just the hangar, too, you can spec yourself out to be a force to be reckoned with even outside of your mech. The upgrades give your character cybernetic enhancements that visually change the model in addition to the bonuses you receive.

I highly recommend this game, and will even recommend that if it piques your interest you should consider it at full price to let more publishers know there is a market for this sort of game.

The only real "Con" that I have come across, for me, is the lack of FOV selection. The game is a console port (don't let that scare you, it's a good port), but one of the relics of that process is the narrow and sometimes restricting FOV. Other than that, it runs perfectly, the "cell-shaded" stylized graphics add to the charm and hide the lower poly environments really well.

You play as a murder hobo in the Louisiana bayou hunting monsters and other players. The boss fights are fun, the mobs are nice and creepy, fighting other players is a blast.

Also you can throw a jar of bees at people.

Content that adds meaningful replay value to the game, rebalances multiplayer, and is reasonably priced. DLC done right, that's a day one purchase for me.

I haven't even tried the new ships yet, but I know I'm going to love them. If you're on the fence, it's 10 bux, that's a large meal at wendy's, you get 4 more ships and some campaign content, and you fund more development of this already awesome game.

if you have Deadlock, this is absolutely worth it.

A throwback to when 60$ got you an actual complete product. "AAA" publishers have absolutely nothing on independent slavs.

3.5 years and 600 hours later, game is still fun. From actually playing the game to just strategizing around what units you can take. Definitely a must own for any RTS fan. Missed the train on EE, got ALB near the end of its life, played this one from the beginning. The campaigns are also incredible. For 40 30 bux, you really can't go wrong.

If you liked X-Com than you will like this, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are the mission timers really worthless. Give me stealth, or give me a timer, do not give me both. There's no point is using stealth if the mission objective fails before I can even get to it.

Don't be fooled, this is definitely an APM game. Micromanaging your ships and proper system management will make the difference between winning and losing. The campaign is a ton of fun with XCOM/ Galactic Conquest elements, a CO-op campaign would be a blast. The tactical cogitator is your friend, don't be afraid to use it in MP. All the playable races feel different and force you to use different strategies (I have a lot of success with the Imperial Navy, but find that I am ♥♥♥♥♥ at Eldar Corsairs).

I'm super excited for the Tau and will probably play this game for a while. Playerbase is a little small, but aside from that I really like this game.
