This game is a ton of co-op fun.

Quick and easy to get started, with ramping up difficulty by adjusting the quantity and quality of enemies (and not changing their health values)

Franchise just ain't what it used to be.

Had a 50% length race where I drive the wheels off MyTeam Car to get points finish, only to get a crash at the post-podium loading screen, undoing the afternoon's work.

More frustrating than when I was a Vettel Fan.

But it's also really good. Actual VR support, good ultrawide support, and a repeatable conquest mode where you build up allies and take territory.

Utterly unplayable stuttering mess at 3440x1440, regardless of graphics settings and average FPS. I manage 100FPS according to benchmark, but every 5 seconds or so you get a 1/4 to 1/2 second lag, enough to ruin your drive in this game.

Don't buy it regardless of sale.

In a word, Wonderful.

It is the best gun-simulating game in VR, period. Constant updates adding and refining the game, from a great developer.

It's fun to play co-op, pretty visuals, nice handling/sounding guns.

EDIT FOR FALL OF 2020: In the year since this review, bungie has removed what I talked about, and has leaned a lot harder into exploiting a Fear Of Missing Out to get you to keep investing time and money. Until they get better, which they might, I do not recommend this game. Below is the original, obsolete review:


Mechanically it's great bit of shooting and punching. The Free experience is nice.


Do go to the lonely amanda holiday on the right side of the tower to access the campaigns.

Play a while and check out the community before deciding if you want to buy into more of it.
