I do, since it's realistic. trucks in the EU are required to have a limiter on 90 km/h or 55 mph.

I have it turned off...but i do drive at the given speed limit.
It is more or less only turned off for the occasions when i drive without load from one City to the next, to arrive faster, or when i have to overtake one ( or two ) truck on longer straight roads so that nothing bad happens ( like being to slow on it and crashing in a incoming truck etc. )

the speed limits on the signs are for cars. the speed limit for trucks is 80 km/h

I know and never stated that i did not meant it.
But to clarify it, i drive the most time not faster then the build in speedlimiter in the game, which is around 90km/h ( and i doubt that people with it on are driving not until it gets on, seeing that you wont get fined for driving faster than 80 on speedlanes etc. )

Always - it is a truck sim and European trucks are limited so I play it accordingly.

I have never felt the need to deactivate it over 180 hrs of gameplay.

thanks for the input, this ill stick to having it on, should save abit on the fines anyway.. :)

Nah. too much fun hauling explosives at 160 km/h.

I use the speed limiter but i also have sleep on. It takes away the fun for me to get there fast and with sleep on it makes you think more about the time.

I turned the limiter off at some point, but found that I got reckless. So I put it back on.

I always use the limiter - for realism, to avoid reckless driving as stated above and because, well it's really about realism as well: a big, heavy truck and narrow, winding roads are not a good combination and in real life the speed limits are there for a reason: safety. It may seem safe to go faster, but it'll cost you precious time to react to curves, oncoming traffic and so on.

I leave it on as I personally find it more immersive due to the "realism" and the sedentary speed. I once set up a junk profile to abuse some Volvos with, got tired pretty quickly.

Not when I get to 90 80 km I use cruise control :longhaul:
