What are the benefits of doing World of truck contracts?
Im new to world of trucks, but i dont understand what are the benefits of doing these new world of truck contracts compared to the normanl contracts you can do. Plus i have to do a sucky 90km/h. Can someone explain whats good about doing these new contracts please? I have done one world of trucks contract. Then i continued doing the normal game jobs you can do, as id dont see the point in them.

There is no point of that contracts, yet. No benefit except that your data (distance, trips, weight of cargo) are stored and displayed on your World of Trucks user page.

More money? Lol I don't think so.
Just had a job which paid me a lousy 36k for 1224 KM, an offline job I get 36K for a 400 KM job

I stopped doing these WOT ages ago. No point to them at all really. Not at the moment anyway until multiplayer comes along. If it ever does which I doubt it. SCS are so slow with just about everything they do it will probably be years when WOT becomes of any use.

Rome wasn't built in a day. As it stands? Hardly any use to it right now but it's the foundation to what will eventually be the official MP. If you don't have the loyalty/patience to wait 2+ years it'll be a long time coming before ETS2 ever gets to that stage.

I agree with Dave. And unfortunately, I see a lot of people using illegal versions of the game too, which doesn't make it any better since it lowers SCS's income. Sad

Don't talk crap!!
It's got nothing to do with loyalty and being patient. Jeeez, I don't see anybody actually moaning here except to say that there is no reason to do WOT jobs as there is no benefit 'At The Moment'.

Even I said as much in my post above that there is no actual benefit until MP comes along which will not be any time soon.

Oh,..and by the way,..what makes you think its 2+ years anyway?? An outright supposition of which there is no truth or substance. Pure guess work on your part. Could be 5+ years. Nobody knows!!

Chill your beans man.. I wasn't saying loyalty/patience in a degrading way - I meant it literally. It's insane to even expect there to be an official MP function for at least a year from SCS. If you know what they're like with map expansions it's a fair estimate that such a large feature as multiplayer would take them at the very least 2 or more years, thus the comment on patience/loyalty.

You think it's going to be sooner than two years? Fair play to ye but I think otherwise considering how long it took them for Scandinavia, when they first mentioned it, when they expected to release it and when they actually did release it - not to mention it's a much more larger project than a map expansion.

I was simply explaining that although, right now, the contract system has no real point to it that it's the beginning of what may be (speculating) a core function within the official MP feature for the game and/or the foundation of it.

I just wonder, if the data they can gather through the online contracts can actually help SCS speed up their research for implementing MP. If so, it would make sense that they kept conditions/job rewards the same as in offline mode. If not, there really is no point in these contracts IMHO.

Sadly, that is probably true. :(

And they are VERY slow, they've even admitted it themselves. But then, that's b/c they're perfectionists and they want things totally right when they do release, so it's hard to get too upset with them over it.

I'm conflicted about it myself; do I want the content/updates to be 100% "perfect" and bug-free on day 1? Sure, it'd be nice. Do I want to wait for several months (or more!) for said updates and/or new content, though? No, I'd much rather not. I'd like to see this game get better and expand further while I'm still young (ish) here. :)

Wish we could have both, I guess.
WoT contracts are in their first testing stage... later there will be more functionalities and reasons to use them... for now, they are just a little toy to play around with and get some stats tracked on your WoT profile

I don't think the WOT contracts are meant to be very usefull yet. It is the foundation for future online features. Also I don't think SCS is planning to add MP in the form of multiple people driving on the map together but in some kind of vitrual trucking companies.
