scs_extractor not working
I made a folder for the scs_extractor, and i dragged the base.scs file on top of scs_extractor and nothing happens. I have tried giving the scs_extractor adminstator permission, i also saw someone else do this on their video, but it worked for him...

Edit: The issues was solved by going from the oculus branch back to the original version

How long did you wait while it worked? That base.scs file is VERY large and there isn't any indication that the extractor is doing anything while it works. Could take a couple/few minutes to unpack.

Well the scs_extractor closes down immediately, so i doubt it

Could be a corrupted download.

I just tried downloading https://ets2.lt/en/scs-extractor/ still the same result.
Base.scs isn't corrupted since the game is fully playable

Is it possible for someone to atleast send me a folder of the vegetation in this game? I'm thinking about lowering the poly to improve the performance with my htc vive headset. And uploading it to the workshop so people with low-end pc can use it

Does someone know what is going on?

Are you copying the base.scs file to the extractor folder and then dragging the copy onto the extractor file? The base.scs file extracts to it's location so if you just drag it from the game folder then that is where the extracted files will show up.

Well i have basically tried everything, it doesn't extract anything, it doesn't matter where the location is.

I'm going to upload a little clip of me showing it on youtube:

I just looked back over the posts. You need to download the offical extractor from http://modding.scssoft.com/wiki/Documentation/Tools

I did look at the video, it actually posted a error, but i can't read it since youtube is slow at proccesing

*Root directory not found, can not extract this archive* But when i do it from the root directory it just closes down without a error

Based on the video. Right click the base.scs file and drag it to the same folder as your extracter (not onto the extractor) and choose to "copy here". Then drag the copy onto the extractor.

If you watched it to the end, you could see i did both

The only other thing I can think of is your system has some read/write protection in place in the security settings? Other than that, I'm at a lost.
