Fast travel crash (old world blues)

I was exploring the big mt when i found a lab called "Crotalus research lab" i think.I entered it,looted it and left.BUT!When I exited the lab and tried to fast travel to the sink's balcony the game crashed. Any solutions?

crashed once? try again. keeps crashing? walk to another area and then fast travel.

With FO3 and N.V. you are going to get some CTD's, it's the nature of the beasts. I suspect that all you need to do is to fast travel a second time from that location and it should be fine. If not, just walk a very short distance from the lab and fast travel from there. Some CTD's are caused by the exact location your in. For example, there is one tiny spot just outside the Goodsprings Saloon pointing towards the graveyard where if I walk on that Exact spot the game crashes everytime, yet I can walk 6 feet around it and all is good. I have 750+ hours into N.V. and have had many CTD's that are usually location based. I also have had a few that happened during the roulette table loading screen. Strange thing is, I have at least 50 mods for the game and not even one has caused any CTD.

OOPS, correction; I have had a couple of crashes once I had the "Underground Hideout New Vegas" mod filled with a HUGE amount of things I"ve collected

Is it continuously crashing? Or did you try just the once? Because gamebryo ain't exactly the most stable of engines.

Well, you can always try the COC command. Get on google and lookup "new vegas coc id's" Should bring you to and index page you can search through. Find the code for The Sink, that should avoid the crash trigger.

Just walk away from the area and fast travel, New Vegas crashes alot :( but there are plenty of mods to help with that :)

OWB crashes on fast travel due to the personaility files for the Sink being in your inventroy.
Same thing happened when the game first came out due to Caravan cards. ( Which they fixed )
But not OWB.
So when you find a Sink personaltity file..just walk back to the Sink and plug it in.
Once you've plugged it in you can fast travel again.

The gamebryo engine is just really really poor and it has a lot of problems, especially if A. you've done all the vanilla game stuff and several expansions (it makes your save games bloated and buggy as hell) and B. if you use autosaves or quicksaves (They can and do corrupt your saves as they overwrite them).

Rest for three days straight to reset the game world, it might clean things up a bit and prevent crashing. Other than that, when you plan to start a new game find and use CASM and the new vegas anti crash mod.
