No.

Absolutely f*cking not.

This has been discussed more times than anyone would care to count.

No.

Ideas and opinions - All fine.

Terrible ideas and opinions - Fine, just keep em to yourself.

Should Ford put DVD screens in the headrests of a Model T?

I think the more apt comparison is if Ruth's Chris should start serving Big Macs.

it would be nice i mean u can go on a rampage with a buddy and have alot of fun also i always wanted a fallout game to have coop because when u and your friends play a online game together its always more fun but if u play by yourself its not as much fun

I can't even fully comprehend what you're trying to say, but no, Fallout: New Vegas doesn't need any co-op.

It's bad enough that it is playing on a rubbish engine, but having a co-op would completely break the game, as well as tarnish its narrative.

That would be a bad idea, but kind of hard since they haven't been produced in a minute.

Games with a very strong emphasis on story and player/world interaction don't tend to work well in coop.

Well... no. It's a nice idea but if it were to actually be a thing: it would just fail miserably.

If that online had duels, the one to win would just aim for the head in VATS with an alien blaster or something

There's a fairly simple way I could imagine this "working" without breaking the narrative flow, but YMMV on how satisfying it would be: Basically, only one player would be capable of initiating quests, and all other players would be treated like companions, but with human control (maybe with the added ability to buy stuff from merchants and customize stats). It would be as though the main player character had hired mercenary guards. Everyone but the main PC would be a mere spectator to dialogue.

Of course, you'd have to rebalance combat. But you could probably hack in a pretty decent accommodation just by buffing mob HP and resistance to crits/limbs being crippled.

Why do people want multiplayer in everything? I mean sure, it's great for some things, but there's other games where it's just totally unnecessary and probably undesirable.
