Bad Frame Rate?

Hello I just started the game and...its not getting a good fps..it feels like its 20 fps..why?

1 Standard Samsung Monitor 1024X768
Radeon 3200 HD 256 mb
Athlon x2 250 3 ghz
1 TB HDD
Windows 7 x64 ultimate
4GB RAM DDR2

and I Tried Playing the game on my laptop (not even minecraft runs on this one) I still have the exact same problems as my desktop computer (same FPS, same sync problems...)

Its probably 60 FPS. Does feel a bit choppy to be honest. I have no doubt they'll adjust this.

The specs on my rig are way above the requirements, yet it feels choppy for me as well. So you're not alone.

I have mini stutters when moving around the map. Like big frame drops for a half second or so all the time.

if you play with the graphics it might change the old on used to do the same thing in some situations

Its the game itself. Its not lag its just the way its been done. I'm sure they'll fix it.

Same issue here on a GTX460 with 8GBs of ram, hope this gets fixed pronto!

they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up!!! slow fps, horribly choppy animations, no way to change the resolution and the multiplayer doesnt work for the most time :(

well im having problems with the screen scroll.. very very laggy.. very very sloww.
i cant even move my mouse properly

i havent even tried mutiplayer or anything.. just started a skirmish with britons and FUUU low fps.. i tried to restart my computer but still it didnt worked or anything

I think you can reduce the scroll lag if you increase the scroll speed option.It makes it feel more smooth.Btw the tech tree isn't working correctly, you can't really see the civ bonuses.
Also where are the options for resolutions?

Install fraps to see your actual framerate. I am on my work laptop at the moment (i5, 4gb ram, integrated video) and was only getting about 15fps with the game fullscreen. With the game the smallest I could make the window I was getting 45fps in the starting area. I'm sure on my home PC it will be much better but somethings very wrong.
