Game won't start with more than 4 processor cores
So I already emailed Steam support about this and they are going to forward this to the engineers. I have a Phenom II X6 1100T processor and the game would lock up when trying to start it after clicking the play button. I disabled two of the cores and it started fine. Has anyone else experienced this?

I mentioned this to Ryz0n (the game's producer) the other day after seeing a similar post. This only seems to be affecting some users, as we were able to run it on a 6-core system. It's a bit odd that this hasn't come up before now, but we're looking in to it.

I've got an 8 core AMD CPU and the game starts fine for me. Could be an issue with a certain group of CPUs.

I'm having the same issue. I have two AMD A6-4455M APU processors and the game won't launch to the interface from steam to the AOE menu.

@Kayon, are you able to get to the launcher from steam, but not from the launcher to the game? If so, try disabling the launcher as described in http://steamcommunity.com/app/221380/discussions/2/864976115013980086/

FYI, it worked fine with my Phenom X6 processor in Windows 7 but not in Windows XP.
